    Beautiful and charming hotel

    by

Exactly below the impressive rock where the old Ronda stands, close to the old Arabian baths lies this small, beautiful and comfortable hotel.
The interior is modeled like an arabian house, the service is friendly and attentive, the rooms are equipped with antique furnitures and new appliances and are quiet and comfortable.
    Good breakfast.
There is also a small garden with a swimming pool.
The hotel also has a restaurant, open on Thursday and Friday night, but we didn't test it

Unique Quality: The position, close to the river and the Arabian baths, close to the steps the lead you to the old town.
If you arrive by car you have to cross an old Arabian bridge.

The quietness, the friendly welcoming and attentive service, the pretty rooms.

Directions: From the old town, pass the bridge (Puente Nuevo) and take the first to the right. At the end of this road you'll see the first street sign(go to the right). If you have a map, localize the Arabian bath and/or the Old bridge. The hotel is nearby.

The most charming hotel in Spain

    by

Alavera de los Banos can be found in Ronda, in the south of Spain. It's located in the old part of the city and overlooks the Arab baths and an Andalucian riding school. It's small, with only 10-14 rooms, and has a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Rooms are clean, tastefully decorated and every little detail is attended to. The setting is picturesque and abmience wonderful, but it's the delightful hospitality which makes this place so special. Oh, and the food!!! The restaurant served the best food we had in Spain.

Unique Quality: It's called a hotel, but has the atmosphere of a small bed & breakfast, with a first class restaurant. All the food is organically grown or locally sourced, and is prepared beautifully.
There's a pool, garden and private library and it's the perfect place to go with someone very special.

We paid 70 Euro a night, including breakfast, for a room without a terrace, but for the experience we had we would have happily paid double.
