SHOE STORE IN RHONDA

by IFLYAA22

I was in Rhonda about 3 years ago and bought some shoes at a shoe store diagonally across from the bull fight ring....I believe the name of the store is La Bomba...I have been trying to find a web site. Does anyone know if they have a website perhaps a phone number for them?

Thanks....Tricia

Google: "La Bomba Ronda" (mind the spelling!!)

1st result on google maps:
C/ Virgen De La Paz 10, Ronda - +34 952 871 932

However, if you're trying to find/buy shoes, I think is probably better you contact the manufacturer

St. Sebastians Minaret

by Martin_S.

We read about and then went looking for the minaret of St. Sebastian. It is a small tower belonging to one of the mosques of Ronda and later used as a church bell tower.
Very typical arab architecture, but no less beautiful for that, this is where the Arab priest would call the faithful to prayer.
If you like you can find out more detail on the excellent web site I found and have added here. http://www.turismoderonda.es/catalogo/eng/alminar.htm

Plaza del Socorro

by HORSCHECK

The Plaza del Socorro is one of the main squares in Ronda's New Town (El Mercadillo). On the South side it is dominated by the Church of Soccoro and in the middle stands a nice fountain.
The square is surrounded by many touristy shops, restaurants and cafes. Most of these places are probably tourist rip-offs and not recommended to the gourmet travellers.

Mercadillo

by bugalugs

The area of Mercadillo (New town) is more commercial, in that there are shops, and places of work. Not as many tourists seem to be walking around this area. At one time it was an area with a few mosques. In 1499 this area was left to the state by a Dona Margarita of Austria who was the widow of Don Juan when she left for Flanders to become a governor there.

Cool, clear water

by Geoff_Wright

I spotted this drinking fountain outside of the 'Padre Jesus Church', in the Santa Cecilia square. I really meant to take a look at the church, and only saw the fountain whilst looking for the name of the church. .
Bet beach Dog never saw it, haha.
