Good value mid-range hotel in Ronda

Hotel Royal is a 2-star hotel in a good location in the Mercadillo district of Ronda. Our room was very clean, fairly large and we had TV, shower and bathroom as well as a nice view over the park opposite the hotel. Breakfast wasn't included but there was a cafe/restaurant next door. The owner is friendly and speaks a little English (more than my basic Spanish).

It was a very short walk from the hotel to Plaza de Socorro, where there are many restaurants, bars, cafes and shops while Puenta Nueva, the famous bridge connecting Mercadillo the old town, was only a few minutes walk down the street. Overall, it was a good mid range choice in Ronda and it cost 48 Euro for a double room (as of May 2006).
