Has anyone stayed at this hotel or know anything about it? I can't find any reviews anywhere. We have booked flights in March but haven't booked a hotel yet. This hotel looks very good but I would like some feedback before I book. Thanks.
Maybe you meant Colonial Mar.
I have been there. It says it has 4 stars- Well 3 would be enough.
We were there in 2004 in May. Temperature was high. between 25 and 30 Celcius.
sorry something happening with the return buton.
So I start again.
It was very hot,may 2003, we booked it for two weeks. temperature was between 25 and 30° Celsius. The airco did not work in the bedrooms, but only in the lobby and the restaurant. We were told it would take 4 days to repair, but after one week it was not fixed so we went to our travel agency and we could change and go to another hotel.
Rooms were very nice with big balcony, but the hotel is surounded by 'salinas' (salt lakes) and because the airco did not work there were lots of flys in the room.
It is on the beach and the swimming pool is ok.
Food was not so good, not much choice and low quality.
It realy is not worth 4 stars.
It takes about 15 minutes by bus to go to the city center of Roquetas.
There is a big supermarket at 10 minutes walk, but thats all. Only appartments in the aerea. No bars no restaurants.
If you want a 4 star hotel I would recommend you a 'playa' hotel, there are several in Roquetas de Mar.
Thanks for that very useful info.
