traveling with kids
hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone could help me find the ideal location for a holiday with my child who's 7yrs old.
Sunny location, beach with a kids club?

You can't go wrong with the Costa Dorada....Cambrils, Salou etc although La Pineda is horrid.
Within spitting distance of Port Aventura [universal studios theme park].
Wonderful safe beaches.
Easy and relatively cheap travelling by train to Barcelona.
We spent two glorious weeks there with two children aged 7 and 12.
My son who was 7 at the time, although he enjoyed Port Aventura to the max, I can honestly say he was more delighted by the sights and sounds of Barcelona.

Last summer we went to Roquetas De MAr - Almeria - and the beach was very safe.
The sea was a little rough in places - still safe - but the kids had fun with body boards.
We stayed at the Golf Trinidad which despite a few bad reviews on the internet was absolutely great. Two large pools and right on the beach.
It is VERY Spanish - not many "English Pubs" etc and was quiet enough to feel secluded but with plenty to do.
Next time there I think the Zoraida Park or Zoraida Gardens would be nice as they have large eareas of grass between the hotels and the beach.

hello and thank you for getting back to me, the other thing that i wanted to ask is; was it a budget holiday and what period is it best to travel at?

Funnily enough we did Roquetas a few years back........absolutely loved it.
We stayed in an apartment just over from the Zorieda and were able to use their facilities.
Can heartily recommend getting the bus into Almeria and on from there to Granada....where we stayed over night........got a hotel room for the 4 of us for under 30 pounds with the best view in the city across the main square to the Alhambra and the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada behind that.
To be honest, I've never looked for 'child friendly' accomodation because in my opinion its a con. Most countries outside the UK are child friendly full stop.
