A very good hotel in the center of Sevilla.Not totally friendly at the reception(but it change by person u find working)but anyway a good hotel.Very clean,with good rooms and in a great area.You can walk on foot for going to the cathedral and in the other area of the center of sevilla

Nice location to all of the major sites (Alcazar Palace, the Cathedral). American-style breakfast, so skip it and go wonder off to the Elvira square or to the confection store La Campana for a cup of hot chocolate. Staff can be somewhat snooty, though. Do make your requests for extending your stay in advance and to the hotel's manager, as the staff can give you a hard time and be somewhat rude. The chambermaids tend to not always knock on the doors, despite the "Do not disturb signs".

Hotel Cervates is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Giralda and main tourist area. The main shopping street, Sierpes, I think, is close by. Il Corte Ingles is also a 3 to 4 minute walk. The Hotel is a little tricky to get to, but the two taxi drivers we had knew where it was. The room we had was nicely decorated, spacious and had a big bathroom-- such a treat! The beds were comfortable and the area was reasonably quiet. Highly reccommended.
I booked this hotel after reading tripadviser reports and happily was not disappointed. We went early Oct and weather was still good. Booked rooms in the VIP section and they can be recommended, good size, wonderful bathrooms,very quiet and relaxing. Public areas original and breakfast very satisfying. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is about 10-15 mins from Cathedral but central for most areas. Do make sure you visit the Bullring and take a tour.
Stayed here during the Xmas break. The location, though not quite in the centre, was within walking distance of the Alcazar and the Cathedral (both of these sites are not to be missed). Got a good deal for the rooms through venere and stayed in the VIP section of the hotel. The hotel has small but clean rooms around a couple of pretty courtyards. The staff were friendly and courteous.
We went for a bed only option as there were plenty of good eateries nearby. We found one called Cafeteria Orfila on C. Orfila No. 3 that did wonderful cheap breakfasts of tostidas, bocadillos, coffees and freshly squeezed orange juice. Try out their chocolat y churros... absolutely divine! Another good tapa place nearby on C. Alfonso XII was the Bar Meson Serrantino which was always very busy - it's the one with the stuffed bulls heads and matador pictures on the walls.
Across the bridge in Triana there are numerous local restaurants and bars that offer cheap, delicious and authentic Andalucian meals.
A tip - if you want a large draft beer ask for a "cerveza grande". Ask for just a "cerveza" and you'll get beer served in a tiny two sip little glass!
If you are on a budget and travelling lightly it might be worth walking around the touristic but beautiful Barrio Santa Cruz area where there are plenty of charming pensions and hostals.

Stayed here for 3 nights in early March. The hotel was in a quiet location but with easy access to all main tourist sites, shopping and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. We got a good deal that included breakfast.
We really had no idea where to stay but we felt lucky with this choice. The breakfast is excellent although a little pricey (10 euro each). Complimentary coffee is excellent. The staff was very helpful with a train connection and any other problems. Rooms are clean and roomy enough. We were convenient to the Sierpes shopping district but definitely had quite a bit of walking to do to get to most of the major sites. But, all in all, we had a good experience with this hotel.
Have just spent the Easter weekend at this hotel. The actual hotel was lovely - the staff friendly, the rooms clean and pleasant and the location superb. Just one thing I would advise - if you are going by car, park outside the old town in a garage and take a taxi to the hotel! It was almost impossible to find even with SatNav. Admittedly it was the Easter weekend and various festivals were taking place, but trying to get to the hotel became the stuff nightmares are made of. When we eventually found the hotel, we were informed the parking garage was full and directed somewhere else, which again was impossible to find, due to the maze of unmarked one way streets. We ended up abandoning the car in a street parking and walking back to the hotel, and fortunately it was quite safe, but please think again before driving to the hotel! This is my only "complaint".
We stay for 2 nights in April 18, 2006 . Is a well located hotel in Seville downtown. Rooms are small for American standard and decoration of the rooms are tasteless. Beds are noisy so be ready not to turn around when you are resting.
My 5th visit to Seville in 2yrs, so able to make some comparisons with other hotels. For me, the location could not be better - very quiet street in a virtually car-free area, but a few minutes walk from main shopping area & about 10 mins from Cathedral, Alcazar etc. Based on other reviews, requested room in VIP section of hotel (DK if there is a price difference). Hotel is smart, clean, modern with 2 interior patios for a bit of character. Paid 120 euros for enormous doubleroom, large marble bathroom, modern style (wood-effect floor), king size bed & was happy with value for money. Note - many hotel rooms in historic buildings in Seville (including Cervantes) do not have outside windows - instead the windows & door look onto the gallery corridors which overlook the central interior patio (like a department store), so you can have guests walking right outside your window. Rooms on higher floors are better because more light. Did not have hotel breakfast (10 euros each) but cafe 3 mins walk in a traffic-free square Plaza San Andres with outside seating in shade of orange trees - freshly squeezed orange juice, jamon (the quality ham called iberico) & tomato toast, coffee - came to 10 euros for 3 of us. Have previously stayed in the historic 'townhouse' hotels (Taberna del Alabadero near bullring and La casas del rey de Baeza in old quarter) which are extremely impressive, full of character (and Baeza has a rooftop pool), but we paid over 200 euros per room & rooms can be noisy (from exterior and interior noise) & dark depending which room you get. The AC Cuidad past the Maria Louisa park was modern and good value, but need to use buses & taxis - good choice with a car. Best bars are around the bullring, worst are near the cathedral/Alcazar. A trip to Ronda (worth staying overnight) is very easy - it takes 2.5hours on the very good direct bus (coach) service 3 times per day (bus company is called Amarillos, with modern yellow & green coaches) from the main bus station in Plaza San Sabastian. Advance booking not required (and not possible, we tried!)
