there is your things to do list.

i went, but it was a few years ago, so it's hard to remember the names of all the little squares i wondered into.

my tips would be:

definitely find a cafe and have spanish ham (prosciutto)
at the same cafe, have churros dipped in chocolate
there is a hostel (if you're on a budget) that's nice enough and in a great location. here's their website:
http://www.friendsbackpacker.com/

the cathedral is a must
stay out and drink wine at the nearest square
walk all over. it's a small place
take a bus to ronda to see the puente. the ride is 3 hrs one way. good day trip. here's info on ronda:

hope that helps a bit! (i noticed no one had posted anything) so that should get you started.

Thanks so much, Regina, for the tips. I notice you are in SF. I lived there for several years when I left Michigan for CA....lived on Ashbury near Haight in '68. Ahhhh Jefferson Airplane and the Grateful Dead were still playing at the Filmore. They were crazy times.
Now I am older, a little wiser (?) and enjoying life in San Diego. And planning great trips like this one to Spain!

Travel Tips for Sevilla

Great Views of the City

by jamiesno

If you want to get a great view of the city and get somewhat oriented you can climb the stairs of the Cathedral.

It really is magnificant when you get to the top. I have a link below to my travelogue where I have uploaded somemore photos. I hope you enjoy!! All the best.

Typical sevillian sights

by Beach_dog

One of the great pleasures in Sevilla, is just wandering around on your own voyage of discovery. It seems that around every corner there is something new to see, something unusual or just pleasent on the eye. The style of construction, the colours, or just events taking place among the local population. If you are there during Easter or during the April feria then so much more is taking place to catch the eye.

I illustrate this tip with just a view of a local building facade, but where else except Andalucia would you find these wonderful colour combinations in the buildings. Yellows and red ochres predominate, but others can be seen.

TOUR POR SEVILLA UN VIAJE A...

by Lalique

TOUR POR SEVILLA UN VIAJE A TRAVES DEL TIEMPO! A standart bus tour but very helpful if you're the 1st time in Seville. The tour goes thru the main streets and covers all the MUSTs. There is 'get on/get off' system with 4 bus stops - Torre del Oro, Plaza de Espana, Isla Magica and Monasterio de la Cartuja. If you go by bus thru Avenidas de las Palmeras, you'll definitely fell in love with the street.

Fans

by keeweechic

The flamenco dancers or Bailaoras use the fan to almost have a conversation. There are numerous movements of the hand and fan which relate particular meanings such as drawing across the eyes, means ‘I am sorry’, fanning herself slowly means ‘I am married’ etc.

Day 3

Walk to Almanden de la Plata -- 29.5k -- refugio

A Longer day, first half on tarmac,No lunch stop so go prepared and lack of water en-route !! -- Second half of the day has great scenery but beware of the sting in the tail !!
