A very nice and inexpensive hostal
We took the train from Málaga to Sevilla and booked this hostal from the Sevilla train station. It is located down a very small street, C/ Tinte, but it is very, very nice inside. Mosaics all over the walls and some pretty religious art. I was very comfortable with the people who ran the place, they were a nice family who was looking to make a living, and not rip off tourists.
I went with 3 friends and we were given a large room on the second floor with 2 bureaus, some nightstands, and 4 beds. We slept very comfortably. The only strange thing was that our room's "window" opened out into the hallway, not outside!
There is a floor bathroom which is pretty big and very clean, cleaner than mine at home! LOL. The sense of security there was very good. They only opened the door downstairs if they knew you.
We stayed in mid April, when the temperatures were perfect. I am not sure whether or not Hostal Catedral has air conditioning. It may, it may not. If it does not, and you stay there in the summer... make sure your room has a window that opens to the outside air!
Unique Quality: The art all over this hostal was really nice eye-candy.
The people were very friendly, and trustworthy. The prices were also good, we paid 20 euros per person.
They also have internet access downstairs, I think you get an hour for a euro.
Oh, one more slightly important thing, you need someone who can speak decent Spanish. Their English was not very good. Luckily my friends had me with them. :)
