A Fun Little Hotel in Sevilla
It is hard to explain but I did like this hotel. I stayed here four nights while in Sevilla and thoroughly enjoyed myself here. This probably because I found that the reception and staff were so welcoming. Also the hotel was located right in the heart of the Santa Cruz district of Sevilla. It is an easy walk from here to all of the major sights in Sevilla. There are also so fine bars and restaurants nearby.
The Hotel Murillo is named after the acclaimed Spanish artist who lived in a house just behind the hotel. Today it is a museum which I did not visit. The hotel has rather interesting decor with suits of armor and would carvings in the lobby and a bar with leather clad antique furniture. It tries very hard with some success to look like medieval Spain.
On the downside, the rooms, though clean, left much to be desired in terms of atmosphere. They were simply functional.
