Train from Seville to Granada

by bean4bean4

Is there a direct train from Seville to Granada. What is the shortest route? From Granada to Cordoba, then Cordoba to Granada?

Re: Train from Seville to Granada

by maestrousmc

I'm planning the same of the same routes and found my answers at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html. There is a train from Sevilla to Granada departing approximately every 3 hours starting at 7am. Journey is right around 3 hours. After inputing possible dates and times in the same site for Granada to Cordoba - and vice versa - it looks as though the options for train travel are more limited.

In Seville to Cordoba have the quickest and easiest option is to train,

From Cordoba to Granada, also have the train although there are fewer hours and the bus is another option,

Thank you very much.
However, when I go to the site I find the routes but when it comes to buying tickets, the software tells me there is no train corresponding to the route selected. Have you tried to buy a ticket?

PLAZA DEL TRIUNFO

by LoriPori

Erected to commemorate the 1755 earthquake. The city of Sevilla was spared from major damage and it was believed that Mother Mary protected the city. So this monument located in the PLAZA DEL TRIUNFO was built in her honour with a statue of Mother Mary.

Learn the lingo!

by pablito-uk

All I can say that is when in Spain, attempting to learn the language will not only make your trip more enjoyable, but it will give you confidence when in restaurants and bars, and enrich your understanding of your own mother-tongue in way that that you cannot imagine. As they say - When in Rome... or in this case, Sevilla.

I highly recommend the language school 'Lenguaviva'. Not only is it very professional and affordable, it is also alot of fun and made learning enjoyable - so much different from when I was at school. I found the whole experience a pleasure from start to finish. Website address below:

Throw it on the floor

by betis1

Is the floor in that tapas bar really that dirty? Well, yes, but it's ok. What are all those people doing throwing their trash on the floor? While it doesn't take place in the nicer restaurants you'll see many people exercising their rights to throw napkins, olive pits and cigarette butts on the floor. Not to worry, someone will come by later and clean it up, but it sure keeps the mess off the counters.

Iglesia de la Magdalena

by andal13

Iglesia de la Magdalena (18th century) is a small and gorgeous baroque church. Its exterior is beautifully decorated, but unfortunately this church is situated at a narrow street, so I could not take a whole picture of its façade. Of course, I will keep its image in my mind...
