Andalusian style

Unique Quality: The hotel has several buildings all in andalusian style. This means lots of patios, where fountains are making a gentle sound. In the hot summer days places to relax in the shade and with the refreshing fountains.
The rooms are also done in andalusian style. More about the room in the next tip.

andalusian style rooms

Unique Quality: The 105 rooms are all in andalusian style. They are in two different buildings. But these buildings have so many patios and alleys it looks like a lot more buildings. And when we first arrived i was sure i couln't find the way back to the reception. But we did...
Our room had a cealing with broad dark beams. The window had metal bars in front of it. The door had a hatch, which you could open to see who was knocking on the door. The high bed in the middle of our room had 4 pilars towering up in the air as if to hold a roof. If someone knows why this is we would like to know too !

great breakfast

Unique Quality: The breakfast buffet is the best we have seen yet. Everything you can possibly think of to eat for breakfast was on the buffet. Including smoked salmon and champagne. And if you couldn't find it there was also a possibility to order pancakes or omelettes and so on.
On top of the great menu there was this great room the breakfast was in. It was painted like you were on a patio and could look out into the fields, with a city in the background far away.

great place

This is one the best hotels I've ever been in. Great looking interior, huge rooms, great service. When you're in it feels like you're a few centuries back in time. Must see.

Sevillian atmosphere

The hotel is located in the Jewish Santa Cruz Quarter. It consists of a lot of buildings and there are a labyrinth of corriders, stairs and alleyways leading to the rooms. The first day I had a hard time finding my room and getting back to the reception. My room was small, but very nice. The hotell has a great atmosphere and a good location.

Fantastic hotel

by TripAdvisor Member golspie1

Stop your search for Seville hotels now!, this is the hotel you have been searching for. We have just arrived back from 5 wonderful nights at Las Casas de la Juderia. The hotel is beautiful, full of character, with lots of evocative smells such as jasmine and orange trees as you walk throught the courtyards. The staff are really helpful, and all talk English. Breakfast was an above average buffet (there was even champagne on the buffet table!!), however, we felt it was over priced, and the atmosphere in the breakfast room in the morning was a little staid. However 5 mins walk from the hotel there is a fantastic cafe, serving the best coffee we have ever had, freshly squeezed orange juice, and serrano ham on fresh crispy rolls for around 8 euros(for 2 people) compared to 30euros plus vat for 2 at the hotel. If you are driving, be warned! the streets leading to the hotel are extremely narrow (you even have to fold in your wing mirrors!), and the hotel is literally impossible to find by car. If you can, park the car and walk to the hotel to check in, and the hotel will arrange a porter to walk with you to where you have parked the car and the porter will drive it back to the hotel for you and park it at the hotels garage. the location is fantastic, very central, with Seville's main shopping area 10 minutes away by foot. The rooms are lovely, full of character, with big comfy beds, jacuzzi baths and lovely hot showers. It is also kept spotlessly clean. I am just about to start booking next years trip to the same hotel!

Enchanting hotel, full of character

by A TripAdvisor Member

My boyfriend and I spent two nights here in May, after extensive searching for a hotel full of character (I couldn't stomach yet another bland, American-style hotel) - and the reviews on this site made me opt for this hotel. For the mid-range price we paid (around 110 euros a night), we weren't sure what to expect in terms of service and facilities, but after almost driving past the tiny alleyway and being taken to our room (after being offered a free upgrade), the beauty of the hotel really hit us. It's comprised of a series of 16th century manor houses, and to get to our suite we had to navigate our way through 6 courtyards filled with flowers and water features - sorry to sound so cheesy, but it really was like a secret garden in the heart of Seville. The service was second to none, we were given good advice on where to eat out and the breakfast (included) was extensive. They are currently renovating the hotel with the aim of upgrading it to 5*, but this was not disruptive or noisy. Anyway, if you want somewhere with real character and impeccable service in the Jewish quarter (5 mins from the Cathedral), then you couldn't do better.

charming, comfortable and great location

by A TripAdvisor Member

we really enjoyed our stay, it was clean and quiet and the location was great. the bathrooms have beautiful tile and a shower with a rain dome! the setting of the hotel is beautiful and consists of many buildings with lovely spanish decor. we needed a docor during our stay and the hotel staff had one at our room in 30 minutes! the location is very good, a short walk to the cathedral, alcazar and the plaza de espana. we were here the first weekend of june and our weather was perfect. great restaurants and bars all around the winding streets.

Unique Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member paperdoll

After reading all the reviews and staying in the hotel, there is a grain of truth in all of them. This is not a hotel for the people looking for the Marriott. The hotel is obviously a number of buildings put together in a real jumble. We loved our room (44) once we got to it. Up the elevator, around the corner, down a few stairs, up a few stairs, up a few more and finally the door. Once in, the bedroom was down a few steps from the closet and bathroom. That said - the staff was particulary helpful and well informed, the breakfast excellent and the location fantastic. If you have a problem with stairs, you need to let them know when you make the reservation.

Pleasant Surprise

by TripAdvisor Member gazmania

Deciding on Seville for our holiday destination we chose this hotel after surfing Trip Advisor and were quite impressed by the majority of favourable reviews compared with others in the same area. There is no direct link from the airport to the city. Our taxi driver dropped us off within the proximity of the hotel and pointed in the direction, I think because the road system in the old quarter was too difficult to navigate. We were within 100 metres but didn't realise the hotel was in such a discreet passageway and walked straight past it. Drivers beware. We eventually found the hotel after asking a cafe employee. The myriad of narrow roads and passageways made us wonder what this place really was. We were in for a pleasant surprise. Allocated room 94, a porter took our cases. We had enough humping them around. Led through a pretty court way, across a patio and some passageways then the elevator to the second floor. The room is on the small side but purposefully built with all facilities and refreshingly air conditioned. Comfortable large double bed and a luxury tiled bathroom with jacuzzi bath, a separate walk-in shower, bidet and basin with a selection of toiletries. There was generally no noise. Others have rightly written here that some rooms have unavoidable steps. Ground floor rooms may have people walking past at times. Breakfast is superb. Try to get an all-in price otherwise breakfast is charged at 15 Euros each. A pleasant cafe/ restaurant conveniently exists just across the hotel passageway. From here you can relax on the patio watching the world go by after a hard day's walking and sightseeing. And taxis do pass right by the passageway frequently! Cathedral is 5 to 10 minutes walk as in the main shopping area. Room and breakfast at £93.50 / 133 Euros per night is reasonable. Service was good. Catching a taxi back to the airport from the end of the passageway was 10 Euros cheaper than our first ride.

Has anyone stayed at Las Casas de la Juderia? My wife and I are visiting Seville at the end of July and we think we've decided to stay at this hotel. I'd be interested in opinions on the hotel's location, quality, etc.
Thanks in advance for any information.
