Hotel in Seville that I like

I have just come back from Seville. Try Hotel Puerta de Sevilla, it is quiet, clean and perfectly located. If you stay there, say hello from Natalia from Saint Petersburg:) The receptionists speak perfect English. See my page for info! Take care! Natalia

Unique Quality: Quiet, clean, perfectly located, English speaking reception desk

Great location

Great location for exploring Seville. Everywhere within walking distance. Helpful reception staff. Small rooms but very clean. We had a front facing room which did make it a bit noisy because of the bars but after a few beers and a day of sightseeing we were able to sleep well.

Short taxi ride from airport.

Not the best but good location.

A pretty standard hostel, no frills, most rooms are doubles, communal shower and toilet.

Unique Quality: Good location close to many cafes and narrow streets.

More about Puerta de Sevilla

A gem in Barrio de Santa Cruz

by TripAdvisor Member RShimizu

We stayed in Hotel Puerta de Sevilla for an overnight in March 2006. As recommended by Lonely Planet, this hotel was charming, well-kept, clean, cozy, and we had no complaints. The beds were comfortable, heating/cooling was functional, and the bathroom was sparkling clean. The staff here was also very helpful and helped us with navigating the city and recommending a flamenco show. The hotel is also walking distance to the Giralda and the Cathedral and the hotel's location in the Barrio de Santa Cruz is one of its greatest charms. Definitely recommend the hotel!!!

Excellent Stay

Thank you to Adriana (I think that is the spelling apologies if not) for your hospitality whilst staying at the hotel. It is amazingly central, very much value for money and very bright and clean throughout. It is a very personal and small hotel where the staff are always very friendly, from the manager to the maid.
Wonderful stay. Thanks

Outstanding Value and Experience

by TripAdvisor Member shipster

First reliance on Trip Advisor, Went at last minute Got room - it is out of season. People very nice, great location,Clean Rooms, On site internet station. Were just in process of opening a restaurant owned by same folks next to hotel (so will keep only one star - restaurant not on premise) I did get room right on top of street(again no notice so was a little noisy, but was warned). If noise bothers you get a higher room on off of main street.

Excellent Hotel

We stayed for 4 nights in February and found the hotel was exactly what we wanted. It is located on the edge of the main tourist area within easy walking distance of all the main sites. We arrived by train and walked from the station (15 min), so there were no parking issues.
First impressions were excellent, an attractive and clean entrance and friendly, knowledgeable staff ( english spoken). Unlike some hotels, the syle of the entrance and the cleanliness was maintained throught the hotel.
Our room was at the front. It was small, but adequate, with storage, twin beds and doors opening onto a tiny balcony. The room had air con. The bathroom with wc, bidet, washbasin and shower was clean and modern.
If you want a comfortable room to sleep in, to return to mid afternoon for a siesta and be close to all sights, then this is it. I felt safe and happy in the hotel, it had a "family" feel to it.
If you want a swimming pool, private gardens, extensive room service and a large private suite, then look elsewhere, but for a base in Seville, look no further.
We took breakfast at their restaurant (on the opposite corner of a side street) and ate there one night. Good value and good food.
The street outside is busy and could be noisy. We didn't find it a problem.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record...

We have just stayed here for 5 nights and can only agree with the positive comments below. We would definitely stay here again and not bother looking elsewhere. Apart from the breakfast restaurant being a good place for an evening meal as well the Modesto just up the adjacent side street is well worth a look for a drink/meal/snack. Strong on seafood.

Great bargain

We stayed there for 5 nights in mid-march, and couldn't find any faults. Excellent value for Seville, great location, our bedroom was lovely, and was bigger than I expected. We've stayed in smaller hotel rooms in Paris & London. Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again if visiting seville in the future.

Beautiful - Great Location

by TripAdvisor Member rockclimbcrazy

Small boutique type hotel in great location. Hotel is just a short walk from the Giralda Cathedral and Palace Alcazar (both of which are a must see). Many great restaurants around hotel as well. Unless you are planning on staying up late, would suggest getting room off main street side. Main street is busy all night long and can get rather loud. Absolutely loved this hotel!!!
