Nice room, lousy AC
We got a terrific bargain on this room online. It's an easy hotel to find if you're driving, as we were. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The hotel is kind of far from some of the locations, ie the Alcazar, but not a terrible walk, 15-20 mins.
Unique Quality: Our room was a two-story suite. The ground floor had a couch, tv, minibar, ac. The spiral staircase lead up to the bedroom and bathroom. The air-conditioning in the upper floor didn't work, it was June and HOT. My husband slept downstairs on the pullout sofa. I suffered it out upstairs with my headcold.

Great hotel in a bad location
Stayed 19th to 22nd February 2004.
Good service level all round. Check-in smooth, friendly and helpful. Breakfast restaurant staff equally good. Excellent breakfast included in our stay.
Found the location the major downside to our stay. All the action is almost always to the south involving a walk of 15 minutes. This became a chore during the siesta when everything was shut and when it rained (heavily) a few nights.
The quality of fittings and furnishings was of a high standard and comparable to a 4 star establishment.
The room was a decent size and had no odours, which in chain-smoking Spain is an achievement IMHO.
Unique Quality: The breakfast provided was buffet style and could not be faulted. Almost made the hotel worthy of a fourth star.
