Loved it!!!

by TripAdvisor Member loudurant_84

Just got back from Rabida it was excellent! It is always kept clean and is furnished well! The staff on reception are very helpful and can speak english well, they also known alot about what is good to see!! The courtyard is a really lovely place to sit and unwind for a while and staff will get you anything you need e.g extra glasses. The rooftop resturant is lovely with an amazing view. The only two complaints i would have is that the resturant is expensive (bout 30 euros a starter) and when i went the jacuzzi had been taken away! Its in a great position only bout 7 minute walk from the cathederal. If you decide to get a taxi anywhere i would take something with the hotels address on it as not many of the cab drivers knew what we were talking about. Most of the bars and resturants are the other side of the river, very lively! its only about a 10 minute walk and you will get to see some stunning views over the bridge! Word of warning though if you are going over a wednesday the whole place just seemed to go dead! If you are going as a group of young girls(as i did) or blokes i would recommend the club chocolate! Its abit out of the way and you will need to get a taxi buts its only bout 5 euros and its worth it!!but get there before 1 as its free entry (oh it doesnt open until 12 closes at 6am) drinks are quite pricy 6 euros up! just drink before!!! Anyway all together a brilliant holiday hotel was amazing you should book it!! and seville was amazing to!!!

Wonderful hotel

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It's location couldn't have been better, the place was beautiful, the room was a good size, with a decent bathroom and effective air conditioning (which was no extra charge); the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the housekeeping was excellent and the food and drink were reasonably priced. The one problem we had, however, having arrived late and exhausted, was ordering room service. The food came up ice cold. No exaggeration, it was like it had been refridgerated before being sent up to us. Wasn't bad, though! But hey, doesn't matter, overall it was excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

Hidden away but worth finding.

We chose this hotel based on reviews from this website and largely agree with what's been previously written. We drove from Malaga to Seville and it can be a bit tricky finding this hotel as it's tucked away on a narrow lane. A good map will get you there with little difficulty. The hotel eliminated any parking problems we anticipated by offereing an excellent valet parking service. The entrance to the hotel is very welcoming, the lobby is in a nicely decorated and stylishly furnished courtyard. We stayed in room 404 for three nights and found it to be somewhat small but not cramped. The room was very clean and bright with an enormous bathroom that was seperated from the sleeping area by a short hallway. The bathroom contained a good assortment of ammenities although the shower fixture was broken. That wasn't really a problem as a relaxing bath was the perfect antidote to a long day touring the city in the July heat. Our only complaint about this hotel is the noise that penetrated our room. We could clearly hear noises, (people talking, babies crying), on the fourth floor from the lobby courtyard below. The hotel is extensively tiled and sounds reverberate throughout. Otherwise we enjoyed the rooftop bar/restaurant and took advantage of room service when we couldn't be bothered to get dressed for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Seville's major attractions. While this wasn't the best hotel we stayed in during out eight days in Spain it was still a good value for money spent. We would happily stay at this clean, comfortable, inexpensive hotel again.

excellent value, very very good.

well I was a bit nervous about this when booking but as most of the reviews were very positive and we got such a good rate on Expedia (£48 per night) I decided to go for it. very glad we did. Had a very pleasant room overlooking courtyard with little balcony ( added request for this if poss to our booking), pristine, very comfortable bed, cool, good bathroom, quiet and peaceful, no kids, staff unfailingly helpful and pleasant - no complaints!
Only disappointment is that the rooftop jacuzzi is out of order and in fact it looks as if they are re-building there or something. my fantasies of sipping cava inthe jacuzzi and overlooking the fab view had to go partially unfulfilled, alas, though we did manage a romantic late evening bottle of cava after a great night out in this lovely city.
breakfast was great - feels a little pricey but not for a hotel I suppose and we certainly didn't need lunch (apart from cooling cerveca!) so good value again.

our stay was too short to see half of what this city has to o.ffer but it was really good value and quality, would certainly return. 10 mins walk to river, cathedral area but just out of all the biz, so that when you sit out in the courtyard it is absolutely peaceful - a little oasis - is another plus.

Mostly a good stay

by A TripAdvisor Member

We have just returned from 4 nights in this hotel. On the whole, our stay was a good one, although it was a little noisy. The staff are all helpful and speak good English. The hotel is extremely clean and tidy. We had a few problems, such as the fridge and hairdryer being broken, but the fridge was fixed relatively quickly. In the interim we requested ice buckets; some came almost immediately, some we had to wait a long time for and pester the reception staff for. The rooms are fairly compact but clean and functional. Our bath was a badly chipped and a bit tired looking for a 4 star hotel but it worked fine. The roof top jacuzzi was disappointing as it wasn't in operation, but the views are still great.

I would recommend it, but bring ear plugs. We had a room overlooking the central courtyard, so perhaps request a room overlooking the reception area.

Beware....

by TripAdvisor Member sevenseas

The hotel was charming, rooms clean and decorated beautifully. However beware of the following: 1. When we opened the window it smelt terribly of sewerage. It may have just been the location of this particular room though (?) 2. We had to wait over an hour for our meal in the upstairs bar area. 3. Complimentary coffee is advertised for early risers. We were refused a coffee as advertised, reception did not appear to know anything about it and was quite rude and unhelpful about it. 4. Yes there is parking however we were not advised there was a charge until we checked out! (and it was not cheap!). Although this hotel is good value for money, i would be aware of the above points.

A comfortable hotel

by A TripAdvisor Member

I stayed in this hotel in mid August for 2 nights. It was very comfortable and in a brilliant location for exploring the beautiful city of seville, however I wouldn't have said that it was great value for money, we went to explore the region and booked another hotel for one night before returning. It was much cheeper and just as comfortable. However the views were brilliant and the courtyard in which breakfast is served is lovely. (even if breakfast is a little expensive) the jacuzzi was out of action which was a shame. The staff were friendly and it was nice to have a last drink on the roof top bar. I just think it was expensive for what it was, look around and you are bound to find better value.

Disappointing

by A TripAdvisor Member

After the good reviews of the hotel, we were expecting a superior class hotel, but were severely disappointed. The room smelt of sewage, and were obviously not cleaned (we found a pair of used contact lenses on the "clean" bed). The website was misleading as the "rooftop jaccuzi and solarium" did not exist, and there was no provision to rectify this by arranging for access to another hotel's facilities. The staff were in general rude and unhelpful (when I asked if there was a jacuzzi- the reply "NO!!"). The service in the restaurant was appalling overcharging for dinner, serving us the wrong wine, and the staff arguing when this was pointed out to them. A hotel to be avoided.
