Casa Erica: Family ownd nice apartmenthotel
We stayed at Casa Erica last summer (2011) for two weeks. Friends told us about this new family-owend apartmenthotel with 7 or 8 apartments.
They have a great pool with an oceanview (!) and many community areas such as a BBQ area and a garden for chill out.
You will need a car for day trips because the Costa del Sol has to many places you need to see!
Unique Quality: The best thing about Casa Erica is the fact that you won't have any annoying neighbours. There is just nature and the ocean surrounding the property. The atmosphere is calm and friendly, perfect place for young families and couples.
The owners are very welcoming and helping.

Hostales Medittaeraneo: Lucky it was open late
Arrived in Malaga airport (for a road trip around Andulucia) at 11.15pm with no accommodation!
We picked up our hire car and kept on driving until we arrived in Torre del Mar. The plaza was still busy with patrons and the Hostales Medittaeraneo was still open even though it was close to midnight, so we bagged a double room for the night for 40 Euros.
Unique Quality: It was very basic, but clean, and our room overlooked the plaza, so we could hear all the noise from revellers and then cars coming and going, but the bed was comfortable and at least we didnt end up sleeping in the car
