FLAMENCO NIGHT AT BAJONDILLO
by LoriPori
"ARTE Y DUENDE"
I had the pleasure of seeing this group twice while at the Bajondillo. Every Saturday night is Flamenco Night. Arte Y Duende is a wonderful group of flamenco dancers. The young man in the group is simply amazing. There is also a very talented flamenco guitar player and a wonderful singer. Very entertaining. I think my toes were tapping during the whole show.
I have a video highlighting the dance of the amazing young male dancer, courtesy of Hans (Waalewiener). I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.
"LAS MARISMAS"
Another talented group, Las Marismas consists of six wonderful lady flamenco dancers. Their costumes and dancing were outstanding.

Bicycling in Torremolinos
by CaptainLarry
What I have seen about Torremolinos and the nearby Costa del Sol leads me to believe that bicycling near the beach would be something desireable. We will be there in January so I don't anticipate crowd interference. Can anyone give me some guidance on this? Is bicycle rental available in the vicinity of Bajondillo?

You´re right, cycling along the paseo is very desirable.I do it myself daily.
The winter is a good time as there is more space,it´s to crowded in the summer & you are often asked to dismount by the tourist police.
Unfortunately bicycle rentals are few & far between, altho¨i have seen people on rented bikes.Ask at your hotel. If you can roller blade thats another way to have some fun.

Dear Cap´n I cant find the page with your question about drinkwater so I will answer you here.I have been drinking the water here for 10yrs and am still alive and cycling.Torre IS a nice place to chill & altho it gets some negative press you will find it in general very friendly,as a lot of your compatriots have found in the past. Many of whom I have befriended myself. If you are staying at the Bajondillo,I suggest of an evening you go to Anna´s bar which is currently owned by the lady who sings at the hoteland is only a minutes walk away, and meet some of the very friendly locals. If you are up for a chat so are they.Malaga is also a great city to visit & you will have a greattime there.
Check out my warnings on my page which I shall be adding to soon.i will be happy to answer anything else you would like to know. One thing I can tell you is that your $ wont go quite so far as a few years ago and you may find it a bit expensive.

Thank you so much, el Perro. Your posts are "spot on" to what I was seeking. I did find that there is a motorcycle rental shop near the Bajondillo that rents bicycles also. Rate seems to be about 10 Euro per day, a little less for longer term rentals. I'll certainly check it out when we get there. About 160 days and counting.
