Roc Lago Roja: Good Location
We chose this hotel for it's location and reasonable prices.
We took the half board option as it suited us best, but the food was a great disappointment and the restaurant staff a bit off hand, although they kept the tables clear and clean. Meals were all buffet style.
Situated close to shops, restaurant and the beach made it a good choice, especially for those with mobility issues.
The hotel was wheelchair friendly to a point, there was a steep ramp to the main entrance of the hotel but the back gate was on the flat. There is a lift to all floors, but a wheelchair would be a tight squeeze.
There was a nice bar with entertainment on most evening. The gar opened in the afternoon, but the staff only put in an appearance occasionally, but I do recommend the Sangria. You can buy a book of tokens at reception to purchase drinks, this works out cheaper.
The hotel was clean and well run.
I would reccomend the Roc Lago Rojo, but only on a bed and breafast option.
We had a double bed room with TV, and a full bathroom, (toilet, shower, bath, sink towels and toiletries),safe and a balcony with sea views and views of the hills to the side of us.
The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels when required.
My only criticism, there wasn't a draw to be found, which would have been handy also, the shower blow hot and cold, depending how many people in hotel decided to shower at the same time.
There was a small pool situated in the shade, which I suppose is good in the hot summer sun,but I doubt if it would be adequate for the amount of people in the hotel.

Large Range of Accommodation
There is a large selection of accommodation available in Torremolinos which can all be packed out during the summer months, especially July and August which the rates are also the highest. You should book well ahead for these months. The types of accommodation range anything from tourist parks with camping facilities, hostels, apartments to top hotels. Or you can just take a nap on the beach.

Calle Peligro is a small street leading off Paseo Maritimo and winding up the hill. There are quite a few guest houses and budget type hostels along here including Hostel Guadalupe. The hotel has a café/bistro, a restaurant and rooms have aircon/heating, a fridge, TV and kitchenette. There is wireless facilities in the hotel.
