For relax and calmness

Everything was great. I did liked it, really.

Food and vines - amazing, people - kind, polite.

Seaview in every room. Comfortable beds. There is no plazma (just common TV-set), but who cares? Not me :)

Service is good enough - clean rooms, invisible room-ladies, responsive staff in the restaurant and reception - so, everything how it should be.

Unique Quality: All rooms are with seaview.

The Melia Rooms

The hotel has 650 rooms which includes 36 junior suites, 18 suites and also 2 rooms suitable for the disabled. All rooms have a balcony and a sea view and have aircon, in room safes, minibars, direct dial telephones and satellite TV. Wireless internet is also available. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms come with a hairdryer and makeup mirror.
The hotel is divided into two blocks and interconnecting which was a little confusing coming in from the other block and trying to reach yours, but only for the first couple of times.

Hotel Melia Costa Del Sol

Another large hotel right opposite the beach on Playa de Bajondillo and right beside the Camino de la Playa. Around the bend is also the La Carihuela area. The Hotel Melia is a 4 star hotel and offers extra luxury of a dynamic pool, hydromassage pool with sea water, massage rooms, therapeutic treatments, steam bath and sauna to really go out and pamper yourself. There is also an outdoor pool. Within the complex is a hairdresser, gift shop, 24 medical assistance, laundry service and parking. A internet section is provided for a small fee but I was able to get free wireless from my room. The hotel is adapted for disabled guests.

Affordable luxury on the Costa del Sol

I stayed at the Melia Costa Del Sol in Torremolinos. It is perfectly located directly facing the blue Mediterranean sea. If you do not wish to swim in the sea, there is a swimming pool with views of the sea.

Unique Quality: My room had a balcony facing the Mediterranean sea. Sitting on the balcony and admiring the sea, sipping a cool cocktail was simply delightful.

Melia

Upon entering the hotel, your eyes and ears becomes alive. The sound of water cascading down a water fountain, mirrors all along the lobby walls, plush chairs in the sitting area and chanderliers hanging overhead. We stayed 10 days here and because it was our honeymoon, when we entered our modern styled room, a bottle of champagne and warm wishes were waiting for us. For the most part, the staff was welcoming with the exception of two people. But that didn't bother us, everyone made up for the lack of the two.

Unique Quality: The hotel is located just across the street from the beach allowing us to have a fantastic view of the beach and La Carihuela all from our balcony. It was amazing. Our room was very nice, modern, clean, with a queen size bed and cable t.v. with shows in various languages. The hotel had spa services, a pool, dining area, a restaurant and bar. The staff was very good at keeping staff abreast of all activities and tours available. And breakfast was included that's if you are able to get up in the morning. This hotel is very good for those who want some R&R, but also would like to have a good time as there are so much to do just outside your door and up the cliff into town.

The Hotel next Door

If you have a few more pennies you can stay at the four star Melia Costa Del Sol Hotel, just about a hundred yards away. We never went in, of course, but it looked a wonderful place to stay. Perhaps next time?

Right on the beachfront

Actually, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I have only stayed 4 star occasionally but this is the best, and for the cost, unbeatable. Set into the cliff, high rise but not unattractive, big rooms all with balcony facing the sea, and the biggest bath I have ever had in a hotel. I walked in late and got a special rate of 66 Euros double (for 1) breakfast incl - rack rate is quite a bit higher.

Unique Quality: Anywhere serving Cava for breakfast is all right with me - the breakfast buffet caters for many nationalities and takes about 5 minutes just to view - Also has other eating/drinking choices, spa/thalassotherapy centre, entertainment and pool. But it's sitting on the balcony with the Med at your feet does it for me (I was lucky enough to get second front room).

More about Melia Costa Del Sol

Enjoy a Room with a view!

by 807Wheaton about Melia Cost del Sol, Torremolinos Malaga

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Melia Costa del Sol. The picture shows the view from our room. We found it very relaxing there, and enjoyed the pool before and after strolls on the beach. The tour included our breakfasts which were very good. We found the rooms and bathrooms clean and modern yet very elegant.
If I ever get the chance to spend a few weeks in the winter in the South of Spain this would be the place. There are many British restaurants for "Pub Grub" right on the beach and next to the hotel.

Malaga airport to Torremolinos

by Lacrimosa

In May I have about 100 visitors coming to Torremolinos for a meeting. They dont all arrive at the same time, but they do on the same day. I know there is a train from the airport to Torremolinos, but how far is it from the train station to the Melia costa del Sol. Also what about bus no. 19, does it stop anywhere near the Melia costa del Sol?
Thank you

You have to go with train (it´s called RENFE) in direction FUENGIROLA. The best way for you is to stoped directly in Torremolinos (theres some others stops before). From station to your hotel its a walk from 15 min.
