A Luxurious but Homey Beach Retreat
How many times does a hotel actually live up to it's brochure or website? Not very often, but Pozo del Duque was suprisingly even better than I had imagined it would be. This is a place that has definitely made an effort and covered a lot of details to be the best hotel in town. I visited a few other hotels in Zahara and though there are some other good ones, I was glad I made my reservations at Pozo del Duque.
You should make reservations by telephone, they don't accept them online though they have a decent website so you can get an idea of the rates and photos of the property. We had a large room for 3 people with a balcony terrace and view of the beach. The hotel is decorated EVERYWHERE not just the reception area in a lush, grand style of an aristocratic country house including suits of armour on the stairway landings! Even our hotel room, well, I have to put some pictures so be patient. Not only that, it has a small pool but it's very nice as you will see in the photo and the restaurant has very good food.
