Hotel Balfagon: High Times

I've never driven so long without getting into 4th gear! Turn after winding turn and higher and higher through the Maestrazgo Mountains kept my attention focused for I don't know how many hours.

After the most hair-raising drive I ever put myself through, the Hotel Balfagon was a great place to recover.

Set in the beautiful medieval town of Cantavieja, this hotel is clean and comfortable. The views surrounding the town are incredible.

The restaurant next door (El Buj) is supposed to be very good, but it was closed the day I was in town.

Unique Quality: At an elevation of 1300 meters, the setting was spectacular.
