Teruel is a very provincial city. It is actually it is the smallest of all the province capital cities in Spain and also the most remote one.
Secluded in a rough environment of arid plains and wild mountains, the weather is unclement and living conditions have always been hard. This has led to a constant lost of population during the last decades.
However, Teruel is a nowadays a prosperous city whose inhabitants are devoted to ensure a brighter future for the next generations, so that they will not have to leave the city in order to find opportunities in life.
