I guess the easiest way will be:

- Bus from GRO airport to Barcelona Estacio del Nord. It takes 1:15 h, and there are departures after flight arrivals. more info at www.sagales.com

and

- Bus from Barcelona (Estacio del Nord) to Zaragoza, about 3 or 3:30 h. Several departures per day, www.alsa.es

or train from Barcelona Sants (you'll have to get the metro or taxi between both stations). The AVE train is more expensive, but it takes less than a couple of hours.

Travel Tips for Zaragoza

ZARAGOZA

by AsturArcadia

"'¡Anda, Ve, y Dile al Alcalde!'"

Renowned as the setting for the superb 'zarzuela' by Manuel Fernández Caballero 'Gigantes y Cabezudos' (libretto by Miguel Echegaray). If you can get hold of a DVD as well as a CD, all the better. The opening scene, 'Anda, Ve, y Dile al Alcalde', towards the end of which a petty 'funcionario' is tossed in a blanket by a group of market women, is delicious!!!

The photo is of the Catedral de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, taken during my only opportunity to walk into the centre from the station, in June 1991.

Zaragoza was where, earlier that year, I made my only station public address announcement in Spain, while trying to shepherd a large railtour group!
