1. Has anyone purchased and used the Zaragoza Card (24 hour)? Was it worth it?
2. What are your "Hidden Gem" finds and why?
3. Where are your "Must Eat" restaurants & bars? Why? What's the best dish?

Hi...I have just answered to your previous post.
If you are going to stay in a centric hotel. I think it is not worthy to get the day card. To be true, I don´t even know how much it is...but once you reach the city centre, everything is at a walkable distance.
If you are going to stay one day in Zaragoza, my sugestion is to start the day riding a bus to go to see the Alfajería Palace/Castle( it is not in the centre), then back to the centre(that makes two bus tickets:2 euros, or two taxis: 11 euros more or less).
Then when you are back in the city centre: From Plaza España to El Pilar Square through Alfonso street,and then my "MUST EAT" advice is to go to "La Republicana tavern" : (http://www.qype.es/place/287506-La-Republicana-Zaragoza).
It is in the middle of the old quarter and a very tipical way of havin lunch or dinner is going from one bar to another tasting the tapas, in La Republicana you will find more than 40 diferent ones...so grab some ones, and then to the next bar. Speaking some spanish may be helpfull.

Now, I remember. If you go to the "El Pilar square",usually everybody visit the two cathedrals there. imo it is nicer the samller one, worthy to pay the fee.
In the same square you will see another building: La Lonja, where merchants used to make their deals long ago. Very, very nice, and it uses to hold the best expositions in town.
I have been reading about the zaragoza card. I think you may save a few euros, but not a fortune.

Walk in the ancient streets around El Pilar Square, and discover the main street of Zaragoza : Paseo de la Independencia, Go to the Aljaferia and visit it.
If you are in Zaragoza the 12th October you can see thousand of people with ancient dresses of the region walking on the streets, unforgetable!
