Hi.
It depends on what interest you have, and on how much time you get after your business...
If it is your first time in Zaragoza there are some places I strongly recomended...some of them are in the same big square. "Plaza del Pilar", there are two nice cathedrals there(the smallest is nicer, but less famous) and a Palace where there is always nice expositions. Then we have an Arab Palace called "La aljafería" and it is worthy the visit...if you are interested in ancient and spectacular buildings...
If you prefeer bars and night-life...well, I am a bit out of the circuit but just walking in the centre streets you will find lots of "tapas bar" and asking to the people they can guide you.
It will be very hot here that week, so you can join public swimming pools too, very cheap(less than 3 euros a day) and good enough, with sport activities and gardens to relax in the grass...
Feel free to ask...have fun.

I spent a few days in Zaragoza for the Festival of el Pilar and on repeat visits too. Too bad you will not be there for that (October).

But as mentioned above, there are countless places to visit near the Plz d Pilar. There is a tourist information booth there too that you can get a city map with highlighted things to visit.

As for nightlife, there are several good neighborhoods to choose from, the narrow streets behind the main plaza are full of good places, just walk around until you find one that fits your preferences.

Travel Tips for Zaragoza

Zaragoza and "Fiesta el Pilar"

by DSwede

I came up to Zaragoza a couple of random times. But the most memorable was a long weekend (from Tarragona) to celebrate the Pilar festival. I wound up staying for three days, sleeping little, walking the city during the day and enjoying the festivities all night...

Zaragoza is a large city, near 800,000 people. It is rich with old architecture and history. There are ample tourist information booths in the city, near Pl el Pilar and Pl. Espana. You can easily get maps of the city, as well as information on museums, churches, etc.
