There are many festivals and traditional celebrations which adorn the county's yearly calendar. They are celebrated with great local fervor as the regional traditions, entertainme and happiness fill the air.
Every 29th of June, Cudillero celebrates its most important holidays celebration. "La Amuravela" is a public speesh spoken in the native pixuelo language in wich local events of the past year are narrated at a local, regional, national and international level in a style of speech wich is mischievious, rouguish and ironic. This was a popular style of Spanish literary genre dating back more than four centuries and of peak tourist interest.
