And truthfully, it really didn't matter. I found this city's charm to be so great that I feel as if the rain may have actually enhanced the photos I took there. The city's old center was filled so many truly charming spaces and corners.
Gijon's port is one of the most beautiful ones that I've ever seen for a city. The lines of small, non-commercial boats that dot the harbor add to the feeling that Gijon is a place where residential life is valued over industry.
