Casa Casero - Huerta San Benito: Fabulous Rental House!
We rented a gorgeous house in Antrialgo for five nights and just loved it. The house name is Casa Caseros and it belongs to the complex, Huerta San Benito. Prior to arriving we had corresponded heavily with the owner Juan Otero. He couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. We ran very late due to leaving Leon later than planned, as well as getting lost on our way to the home. It is really out in the country. However, this was no problem for Juan. He waited up to give us our keys and greet us. He showed us the house, explaining how he and his family have lovingly built them with every accommodation. The pride he has in his development is obvious. When we came back to the house on our first day, he had left us a bottle of local cider.
The house was gorgeous. The stone and woodwork were the typical Asturian fashion and was painted a beautiful shade of magenta. Each room had a theme and was decorated impeccably. I became quite fond of the "English bathroom" and used it exclusively! I slept in a room with fabulous pink walls and the view from it would take my breath away every morning.
Other features include a kitchen fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc., a washer, television (which we never watched but you might), a coffee press and large refrigerator. We also had 2 1/2 bathrooms at our disposal. Which, with five women, is a very good thing!
For five nights, it cost each of us (five in total) 100 Euros each. Where on earth could you find such luxury at such a price?
