Thank you Fernando: I have a new reason for feeling proud of being Asturian. After the spectacle of seeing you in the same centre of Madrid, showing as the meaning of drive a racing car, Asturias is preparing for the future, planing another exhibition in our birth place.
I will see you next time in Asturias, but before we meet again, I prefer to see you at top of the podium in Austria next weekend.
Good luck, and keep your mind free for being used to the great triumphs you are getting very, very soon.

La Vida ERASMUS I

"Sidraría"

This was during my first week and I had already gotten to know the Sidra tradition quite well ;-) This is in the backyard of a small Sidraría.

"Herko's Birthday"

"Zaragoza"

This was probably one of the craziest things I've done in my life: I got to know those 3 guys in some bar, and they asked me if I would like to join them on their trip to Zaragoza the next morning. I didn't even think they would really come and pick me up 3 hours later... But they did! We had a fun weekend in Zaragoza at the Fiesta de Pilar. We had to sleep in the car / at a bench at the train station though, as there were no more hostels available... Anyway, 2 of those guys became some of my best friends!

"Luarca"

This was an AEGEE weekend in Luarca, a lovely village at the coast of Asturias.

"Bacardi Night"

It was Bacardi promotion night at our "favorite" bar La Capital. With one Cuba Libre you became either a one-way camera or a hat. Here on the picture I hadn't earned the hat yet...

"Avilés"

A night out in Avilés, another city in Asturias. Here we're having a typical drink called Calimoxo, which is half coke and half (cheap) red wine. You buy it in big plastic glasses with a bunch of strows to take it outside and share it with your friends.

"Uni"

Here's the proof: I did study there as well! ;-) This is the cafeteria of the faculty of medicine.

"Pájares"

Ok, it's a ski resort actually (in the mountains south of Oviedo), but as we didn't know how to ski we just brought some plastic bags...

You really can't get away from it having Andrey as a friend ;-)

"Madrid"

In the beginning of december we spend 5 days in Madrid, which was great, but cold!
The picture was taken at the Parque de Recreo at the Palacio de Cristal.
We were 8 (not pictured: Nanni and Claudia).

"Crowded bars of Oviedo"

If you don't have to squeeze yourself in there's no point in entering...

"Carneval!"

Avilés is the craziest carneval I've ever seen. There's a parade which we missed on purpose, because people on the floats get you with their foam canons, and as if that wasn't enough people poure buckets of water over the crowd from their windows... Brrrr, after all it's cold in February! You definately have to go change afterwards, and as we came from Oviedo, we had to skip this craziness and come directly to the party: Live bands until 4 in the morning!

"Warm-up"

We often met at Herko's, Luciano's and Piotr's flat before going out...

"Las Focas"

Well, I had female friends too! This is a very crazy girls group...

"Hiking"

There are a lot of possibilities to hike in the Picos de Europa, or south of Oviedo. This was the Ruta de las Xanas.

"Andalucía"

During Semana Santa (spring break) I travelled Andalusia for 9 days by public buses: Sevilla - Córdoba - Granada - Málaga - Cádiz - Sevilla. It was my first solo trip. However I went to Torremolinos (a beach resort close to Málaga) for a day to meet up with my lazy suntanned friends...

"San Sebastián"

I love this city! Went there for a weekend with Katrin and stayed with a friend of hers. Had some crazy party there

And the Tapas of San Sebastián are THE BEST!!

"Back to Oviedo"

"Martes del Campo"

Once a year on a Tuesday (Martes) everybody in Oviedo graps some bottles of Sidra and some hotdog kinda things and spends the day in the hills outside of the city. It's a great big gathering with lots of drunks! ;-)

Here we have already emptied quite some bottles of Sidra...

"Paintball"

One day we went to shoot each other. It was quite fun but it HURT!

"Canoeing"

Went down the Sella river by canoe, which was my first time and a lot of fun.
On the picture I'm the only wet one, as I somehow managed to do a backflip out of the canoe...

This was on a very hot day in Villaviciosa, another Asturian village, after we had swam in a river.
