At the beginning of May 2013 we arrived to Ribadesella without having booked any accommodation in advance. Still I had noted the address of Hotel Covadonga down, as I had read about it on VT member bonio's Ribadesella page.
Already on the train from Llanes to Ribadesella we got in contact with an English lady, who had booked the Hotel Covadonga for the coming night. So from the train station we made our way together down to the old town of Ribadesella. We found the hotel quite quickly and the friendly receptionist offerd us an available twin room for 45 Euro without breakfast for our one night stay.
Our large room included a kind of oriel balcony with two chairs and a table. Everything was a bit dated, but as the hotel is decorated with all sorts of bits and pieces, this all added to the special charm of the place.
WiFi is for free, but didn't work in our room. All in all we found the hotel a good deal for the money paid; also because of the central and quiet location. There is an excellent café for breakfast in the direct neighbourhood of the hotel. Please read my restaurant tips for more details.
Small hotel with it's own restraunt next door. Nicely furnished throughout and a very comfortable ensuite room for €35 excellent.
