SALAS (7)
The main plaza.
A couple more 'before' and 'after' sequences, this time concerning the façade of the building that was, and presumably one day will be again, the Ayuntamiento. as before, the dates are April 2008 and September 2009.
The old building has been almost completely demolished, only the façade remaining. Sad, in a way, but far better than the replacement of ancient with 100% modern.
The link between the old building on the far left and the saved façade is more than a little disconcerting, though.
The opposite side of the plaza.
And finally, a view of the castle that was transformed into a hotel in the early 1990s (entrance on the left of the archway).
Catering classes, anybody?
Serve from the right, take away from the left . . . or is it the other way around?
But be careful NOT to spill the soup . . .
