me (20) and my partner (19) stayed at the condes from the 3/10/06 -5/10/06 i bet your thinking why such a short stay the reason for this is that on arrival of the resort we were welcomed by a male receptionist who was helpful during checkin. after checking in we made our way to the terrace and bar were there were a lot of elderly couples which looked at us like we were aliens. during the first night i went and asked ta female receptionist for an extra pillow, i did not an extra pillow i recieved an ear bashing for my trouble. i strongly suggest you do not holiday at this resort if born after 1980's as you will be alienated due to your age. personally i would not holiday at the condes de alcudia again or recomend it to anybody. kevin, south wales.

Me and my boyfriend have just come back from our last minute holiday and was quite dissapionted with this hotel. As we arrived about 10ish we couldnt get our room till 12 so we went for a wonder round then came back. Booked a twin/double and when we got our room 420 was very dissapionted the room was tiny with 1 single bed going across the balcony so u couldnt get out then a camp bed going the other way. The next night they moved us and was much more happy. Rooms have air con but dnt seem to work very well and the tv was crap. Other than that the rooms where clean.
We booked half board but forget it the food is rubbish ate there once and went out for the rest. Would recommend The Highlander Bar for breakfast and Dakota tex mex for evening meal allthough the staff are quite blunt at Dakota food is nice.
The pool is tiny and we never was able to get loungers as usual as towels on them at 7ish. Although the hotel policy is if no one returns to the loungers with towels on within 30 mins u can remove and use. This happend while we were there and they didnt like it but leaving them for 2 hours is wrong.
Staff were ok but some didnt understand us, lifts tiny and always queues. Germans very rude and just push infront of you. Allways people complaining at reception and as we were leaving a English family arrived and the hotel said they had no room when they had booked it. They tried to get them in a hotel miles away but they werent having it (dnt blame them). Not sure of the outcome as our taxi arrived to go to airport.
Overall Alcludia is a nice place and would go back again but different hotel. Hotel is in a good location but the hotel itself is very poor would not recommend.

I have recently came back from the Condes, I was very suprised to hear the people in the next room talking in my bathroom! the sound travels through the air vent, I could a german woman in the bath which sounded like she was in the same room, my friends who stayed in the two rooms next to mine could have a conversation through the air vent even though they were in different rooms without needing to raise their voices, the Hotel has very thin walls and kept me awake most of the week. The blonde on the desk was very rude, the cleaning staff were lovely. The food was the same most nights and was definatley 3 star. The lifts were small and as was the rooms and swimming pool.
On the up side we gatecrashed the hotel across the road for entertainment which happened to be very good except if it rained it was cancelled. Also the best bars were Pago Pago and The Drunken Duck, apart from when we had storms, the drains threw up sewage, some parts of the area were very smelly and we had to throw our shoes away. But.....the Drunken Duck had a great DJ, Karoki and we met some very nice people there. I would not go back.

Stayed at this hotel for a week from 9/9/06 - found all the staff to be very friendly and 99% of them spoke excellent english. The food each day was buffet style and there was a good range of choice. The entertainment in the evenings was above average for an all inclusive hotel, No problems getting drinks at the bars only trouble was you had to tell them when to stop pouring the spirits or you ended up with more bacardi than coke. The rooms were clean as was the rest of the hotel. Would definetly stay there again
Great relaxing holiday!

We stayed for 2 weeks at the Condes in June 2006. Had a fantastic time! We were half board and the food was amazing, they cater for everyone. There was something different every morning and night.
The hotel was very clean and spacious. We requested a sea view room which we didnt get, we ended up on the first floor which was a blessing because of the lifts!! Thankfully we never needed to use them.
All of the staff were friendly and spoke good English apart from the Receptionists. I think the whole time we were there we saw 3 women and a man. All of them were rude and had to get a waiter over because they couldnt understand English. Not helpful at all.
The pool is far too small for the size of hotel. We had to be up around 6.30 - 7.00 am most mornings to beat the Germans out with their towels!
There was alot of kids and families there. The entertainment was mainly aimed at the kids. The entertainment for adults started at 9pm and we really had to have our seat by 7pm if we wanted to see it. Again, there are only enough seats for about a quarter of the guests. And when there are so many Germans at the Hotel you are pretty much guaranteed not to get a seat or a sunbed!
The resort itself is beautiful but very quiet. There are no night clubs or even lively bars. There is a restaurant/pub round the corner called Pago Pago - I would strongly recommend that you visit, its fantastic! The food is great and the entertainment is brilliant! All the staff are so friendly and would remember who you were. They have a band that play live everynight called Teddy Lion and they are great! The place is always busy and suits people of all ages.
Overall we had a great time in Alcudia and enjoyed our stay at the Condes.
