have just returned from the voranova, all i can say is that it is very very noisy,we arrived on 26th june for a week with our 2 children, room was ok,basic, pool view with nice big balcony, dont think room had been cleaned before we got there,my eldest daughter found some socks under her bed, they looked like they had been there for ages as they were covered in dust, there was also a lot of sand on the floor and hair in the bathroom, that night we got back in around 10 oclock to the sound of groups of people shoting and singing on their balconys, music blasting out of rooms, people were running up and down the corridoor all night,we never got to sleep at all, noise still going on till 6.30am,next night was the same, groups of girls and boys arriving all the time and bringing more noise...i asked the cleaner for some clean towells on the 3rd day,she said 10mins and room will be cleaned,we never saw her again!!!!!!!
hotel itself is ok,pool massive, just the noise spoils it,wont be going back there, but ok if your going in a group and your young, wouldnt take children or go with elderley.

Watch ur shoes girls!!!!

wow, well here we go...hope you're sitting comfortably. Me and 5 other girls have just just got back from there. Firstly when we arrived (after a long sweaty journey) and landed at reception we were completly ignored. When we finally managed to make contact i was completely cut off when a Spanish lady walzed in and started talking over me....rude. We had 2 rooms between us and despite the fact it was 3 pm one of the rooms wasn't availble and we were told to come back! so dropped bags at the one room we had and headed to the pool- no loungers....hmmm so hit the grass to catch some rays (don;t do it- you get eaten alive by ants...serious).So went back in an hour and the woman who had seen us in the first place looked at me like a stranger- i explained when she had said about our room then she just walked off, came back, sat down and ignored me. By this time my friend took over...and we eventually got a room. Very basic however it was clean....the ants in the bath must have approved cos there was loads! We were there for one week- day 2 bed sheets changed then day 3...thought ''lovely''....then after that-that was our lot!! so you must be thinking whats with the title about shoes.... well yes unfortunately the cleaner took a pair of shoes out of my suitcase. I approched the staff but as per usual the couldn't give a crap. Also my friend went home a pair of Pj's down again due to the cleaners...not happy so watch out for stuff like that guys. The food is really poor at the hotel. On the first night there was a bbq thingy got 10 Euros, smelt good so went for it. We all got food and sat down and ate it. Pudding...went and got some fruit and started walking back to my friends at which point i was being shouted at in spanish by a horrible man who works there- he wanted me to eat in the resteraunt...all i have to say is he could of asked nicely. Peoples jaws dropped in horror of the way i was spoken to,so i sat down a very embarrassed lady indeed. The hotel is chocka full of young groups, which was fine for us but if it's a family holiday i wouldn't advise it. Also the security staff-when we ame back one night on of the gaurds was trying to beat up one of the guests...hmmm i'll let you make ur own mind up on that one.The hotel and the location was fine-just the staff were absolutly [---] awful and really unhelpful, so if you're offended easily i'd have a think on about the Voranova.
Beach is great, Majaluf nightlife is fantastic so lots to do so you dont have to be anywhere near the hotel for long.

cheap and cheerful

by TripAdvisor Member ceriliz

Recently returned for this hotel after a short break. Our group consisted of 6 women between teh ages of 29-76. For the price that we paid the accomodation was amazing. Basic but comfortablle.

There were a few negatives :
1. the rooms only get changed 3 times per week and therefore the towels got rather dingy.
2. Reception staff are extremely unhelpful.
3. Can get rowdy but only briefly as 'parties' return to their hotel room.

pool excellent
bar/poolside staff amazing
pool food cheap and cheerful
wide mix of people with a great atmosphere around the pool
loads of resataurnats/ bars for food within walking distance.
4euros for a taxi into the heart of Palma Nova

As a base this hotel was wonderful for the price we paid. We had a brilliant holiday.

If you want something more up market then you have to pay for it.......

Would not recommend to anyone

Very unhappy with this very noisy busy hotel. No air-conditioning in one of our rooms all week. We were away with our family and this hotel is not geared up for families at all, The entertainment was terrible, the dance music all day in the pool area actually started to make me a bit loopy! Lots of groups of youngsters most of whom were OK but very drunk and loud especially during the small hours of the morning after disco that went on until 2am.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
