stayed at the sol guadalupe for 1 week in june 2006 with my partner, we are both 25. we were both impressed with this hotel, the food and the lovely clean rooms. not too far from the lovely beach and about 5 mins walk to all bars and bcm nightclub. plenty of bars and shops surrounding the hotel. food was excellent and so much to choose from, not bland or same food every night. the maid cleaned the room most days and changed our towels too. the only downside to this hotel is the pool area, dont get me wrong its clean but its just not big enough for the amount of guests. sunbeds are crammed together all in a line so its not private at all. we didnt like tis so went to the beach everyday instead where for 9 euro you get two sun loungers and a parasol and theres plenty of choice too where abouts you'd like to be on the beach. would definately stay again at this hotel, should be a 4 star not a 3!!!!
Special thanks to Lorena - She's great!

I love this hotel. Went for a week with my best mate. The activities are great fun - shooting, archery, bowls etc - best was water polo.
We made friends both times we've been. The rooms are clean and smart and a cut above all the other hotels I've stayed in in Magalluf.
The reps are all pretty good but one of them, Lorena, is great. Lively and fun - I don't know how she keeps going. She was a significant factor in us re-booking at the hotel again this September, having been already in April. All the guests loved her.
The location is great and the views not bad. It isn't noisy and is very clean. The lifts do go wrong sometimes but its not a major concern.
Biggest problem is no fridge in the room. Also forcing half board on everyone and trying to keep you in the hotel at night (they dont provide a drink with the evening meal so you have to pay for one). We hardly ever stayed for evening food. The only fly in our ointment was a waiter called Francisco who was extrememly rude at the evening sitting. I sat down somewhere else away from my mate as we came down separately (its a massive self serve dining room). She saw me and moved to be with me. Francisco shouted at us telling us that we had to sit at the same table and picked up my food (with his thumb in the gravy) and carried it over to her. I threw the food away and replaced it. They should sack him - he lets the side down.
However - this is a great hotel and we will go there again. Don't stay in the Sol Jamaica across the road (also 3 stars) - its a dump, the beds are old and soft, its dirty and it smells.
Loved it so much going again this year.

Spent two weeks there in September last year with my hubby, is close to the beach, night life, water parks, shops, town etc but at the same time its not all right on your doorstep keeping you awake all night, Mano's is just over the rd from the Hotel (had some great nights in there)but at midnight they shut the windows and close the shutters which shuts out most of the noise, our room was pool view side oppersite Manos and it didnt keep us awake.
Cant really comment about the hotels evening entertainment as we went out every night, but the little snipbit we did catch of it on one night, have to say it didnt look the best.
Rooms are a little on the small side, but were ok just for the 2 of us, they were cleaned every day and if you were in the room when cleaners arrived you can put a do not disturb sign on your door.
We found the food to be fresh and good, seem to cater for English tastes, also have a lot of choice.
Found all the staff in the hotel, whether it be bar staff, cleaners, waiters etc to be polite, helpful & friendly.
There was only liturally a couple of children there, which if you enjoy relaxing around the pool without loads of kids screaming, shouting and making loads of noise in general is definately an added bonus.
All in all we loved this hotel and thought where it was situated was perfect, but supose it depends on indivigual tastes and what you want from your holiday.
Nice Hotel

I went to Magaluf with 18 other girls for a Hen party for 3 days and nights. The rooms were small but very clean and modern. The view was a huge let down from most rooms (either looking onto a roof top or into the rooms of a neibouring hotel) The breakfast buffet was nice it, wasnt much choice so we tended to stick to the full english breakfast! The evening buffet was alot better. There was pizza, pasta, tacos, different types of meat and salad. (never saw any veg though!!) The pool wasnt great, by 8.30 all the sunbeds were taken as there wern't that many. Everyday we found ourselves sat on chairs around the pool on laid on lilos on floor! The pool is a decent size however it is quite dirty. On the second day there was all sorts of scum and muck floating around on the surface which wasnt very pleasant. And its so deep you cannot touch the floor (im 5"7.5 & i nearly drown on more than one occasion!!!) On the first day everyone was able to use their lilos & inflatables in the pool with no question, but for some reason on the second day it was only children allowed & then because one grumpy person complained they decided to ban them from the pool altogether!! (and if you were to get in, you would find yourself being confronted by huge security guards with handcuffs!!)
The staff told us off a number times for talking to loud (even though we wern't) and the location is ok. Its very close to the water parks and pirates show (which i definatley recommend) but abit of a trek to the far end of the strip (places like Bananas and Carwash)
All in all it was a great holiday and the only thing to ruin it was the "no lilos in the pool" thing. If i'd of been there for more than 3 days I would of made an official complaint because the pools so deep you really need them......
PS. HIYA EVERYONE THAT CAME ON THE HEN DO & BEST OF LUCK TO NATALIE & DAVE!!!
Fantastic!!

We couldn't fault our stay at the Guadalupe! Our family consists of 2 adults and 2 children (5 yrs and a 17 month old).
Our room was HUGE !! It had 4 single beds and a cot, a table and 4 comfy chairs, a massive double floor to ceiling wardrobe, another table! (plus still had loads of room for the kids to play!) and the biggest bathroom we have ever seen in a hotel !!
The food was spot on - plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner. We never went away hungry!
The staff were really friendly and gave our baby lots of attention - they never moaned about the mess she made at meal times!!
The swimming pools were ideal - especially the baby pool. We never had to put our towels down for a sun lounger either - plenty still left at 10 am !!
Our 5 yr old loved the kids club - plenty to keep her occupied.
The evening entertainment was good - varied and suited all ages and tastes.
The position of the hotel was great - 1 min from the beach, near to bars shops and restaurants but far enough away for a peaceful nights sleep !
In conclusion, the Guadalupe was a very clean, family friendly hotel. We will certainly be revisiting next year!!
