Help!!!!!

by ronaldo1

I am due to go to Ibiza in September 2008.We are staying in Playa den bossa for 2 weeks.I am looking to hire a car for 5 days whilst there and would appreciate any advice on the best companies to use? I would also appreciate any information on any festivals happening during this month if any, and advice on places to go and things to see whilst in Ibiza? Do people still go to watch the sunset's at cafe savannah/cafe del mar? We are staying in playa den bossa. Is the nightlife any good?

Hi Ronaldo,

My friends and I were in Ibiza during September a few years back and we also stayed in the Playa D'en Bossa area---Still great weather during that time. We didn't rent a car in Ibiza but we did in several other cities in Spain and used Europcar. They had very reasonable rates and they do have rentals in Ibiza, worth checking out.

In September you'll be sure to catch some of the 'closing parties' that a lot of the major venues like Amnesia, Pacha, etc... will be hosting. In Playa D'en Bossa you'll be right across the way from Club Space.....the huge after-hours club (more like 'daylife?') Easy to find that place with the music blaring.

Also just a few km down from our hotel were some smaller venues----We used to head to a fun little Irish pub, Murphys, just to warm up prior to hitting the all-night parties. Fun atmosphere, live bands.

Perphaps subscribing to Ibiza-Voice will give you some of the upcoming festivals scheduled in September.

Enjoy!

The world biggest nightclub

by carlrea about Privilege (Club)

We went here as everyone had told us if you come to Ibiza make sure you come to Manumission that is held at Privilege on a Monday night.
This place is extremely expensive at around £30 just to walk throught the door and at least £5 for a bottle of water but trust me it is well worth it. I thought it might take a while to get in simply because of the sheer number of people who go here but to my surprise it was so well organized and we literally walked straight in and the doorman were not your usual suited up gorillas they were just ordinary people who were so laid back it was untrue.
Once inside your senses are bombarded from all angles from the amazing sound that arrupted from Judge Jules to the smell inside and the amazing sights of fire eaters dancers and acrobats it really is truly amazing and the Manumission management who really did a good job organizing it all - Top stuff and well recommended. Almost anything!!

The Wildest Night in the Biggest Club in the World

by Jmill42 about Privilege (Club)

Privilege is in the Guiness Book of World Records as the world's largest club. And, it definitely looks it. The place is massive!! It holds up to 30,000 party-goers! Thats a small city of heathens!!! I was glad to be one of those on the best night of the club, Manumission Mondays. Manumission is a interactive show that that is melded with the nights music. Acrobats, certain live "acts", trapese artists, singing, etc. Its really a crazy thing to witness, but so much fun. Smokin Jo was the resident Dj for the night I was there, but Sonique stopped by to offers her talents on the decks for about an hour. Me an Omer partied until our legs hurt, and then we went some more. When else am I going to be young AND on Ibiza again??? Holy cow. You can wear WHATEVER you feel like. Or, you can wear absolutely nothing. I saw both.

Easy and cheap transportation

by glamourprincess

Bus is a great way of transportation in Ibiza. The buses are fairly modern and there are several different routes. Tickets are about 1.75-2 euro one way. In Ibiza town the bus station (it's not really a station, more like part of a street where the buses stop) is located about 6-7 blocks away from the marina. You have to buy your ticket before entering the bus. There is an office selling tickets at the same street as the bus stop. In the evening you buy your ticket on the bus (because the office is closed). You might have to buy your ticket onboard if you're getting on the bus at the more remote places.

The buses run every 15 minutes/30 minutes depending on time of the day and route.
