Beach #2
by johnnyo
This one was packed with people. But it wasn't all that awesome. Well it was pretty awesome, but I liked some of the others better. I have no idea what this one was called or where it was. But it had several beach side bars that were pretty nice ...
The Smugglers Retreat.
by Steve-H
2006. On the far side of San Antoinio bay is a must for those (like me) who miss a good English beer. It was very low season when we arrived and although the beers are bottled there were about 20 good quality ales on offer. This must be a prime spot in summer for British beer swilling community, those who cant go abroad without finding an english style pub and a fish & chip shop before they even find the beach. It was relief for Adrian who has lived in Ibiza for almost seven years now, i usually have to cram my luggage with can of ale for him. Lets hope the new owners make it through the low season, no doubt Adrian will do his best to support them, keep up the good work lads.
San An Super Clubs
by JulesH about Eden and Es Paradis
These clubs are in hot competition with one another, as they are directly opposite each other. Es Paradis has been established in San Antonio for over 25 years, whereas Eden has only just become a superclub having taken over from the old 18-30's dead zone Kaos in 1999. Es Paradis seems to be getting less than it's fair share of the big nights this year though, despite being a beautiful venue. Inside is white and glass with real plants growing around the railings. The main dance floor is circular and sunken into the floor and this is turned into a pool for water parties a couple of times a week. Very Greco-Romanesque in style...all pillars and balustrades. The club's full name Es Paradis Terranal means It's Heaven on Earth, and if Heaven did look like this, I wouldn't be disappointed. I'd expect the real Heaven to have a bit more toilet paper though!
Eden on the other hand has a darker, more cave like feel about it. It was originally designed on an Egyptian theme, and much of the feeling of being inside a pyramid remains. The funky room here consists of a decent sized room with two bars, and the music and the atmosphere is invariably better. One thing I noticed in 2002 is that the clubs were not at full capacity, and people went to the smaller areas to experience a party atmosphere. The main room has two dance floors, the back one of which fills periodically with foam depending on the night. Great....as long as you weren't planning on going straight to Space!
The main music policy in the superclubs is Hard House with Garage trying to find a foothold, but only really succeeding if they play Hard House! If you don't like Hard House either get used to it, find the funky room, or go to Sunset Strip!
Both of these clubs will cost you between € 25 - € 45 entry depending on the night! Eden does allow re-entry after 2.30am however.

Holidaying on a budget?
by marcthewriter about Chino Taiwan
Located just up from the promenade at Figueretes, Chino Taiwan is an ideal place to eat for the entire family, especially if you are working to a budget. The food is excellent and the staff are very warm and friendly and speak almost perfect English. Chino Taiwan serves a wide range of dishes, both English and Chinese/Thai and all at excellent prices. We ate their almost every night of our last holiday and a three-course meal for the four of us cost just ?22, including soft drinks for the family. The restaurant also offers complementary schnapps (though we don?t actually drink) after your meal, and caters for everyone including babies and young children.
Access is easy from the prom and even those with prams or wheelchairs will have little difficulty in getting a table. Try the Chinese Chicken Salad its excellent, and the spicy duck is really good.
