Essential sunset view
Although this is called a hotel, all the rooms are self contained studio apartments with small kitchens. The rooms are large (they can accommodate up to four people) very clean, with a friendly daily maid service and all have balconies with a view of the amazing sunsets. The staff are all very friendly and this is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in here. I have not put a price comparision as we got a cancellation deal costing us a fraction of the normal cost. The cost would depend on the time of year and the number of occupants in the room.
Unique Quality: This hotel is situated right above cafe Savannah on Sunset Strip. It is a prime buzzing location with the most chilled out of nightlife going on in the street below. There is little or no disturbance from noise as everything quietens down after midnight as people move on to clubs or the West End. Amazing views across the sea. I felt at peace here. I can't think of a better location to stay in Sant Antoni.

The best balcony in Ibiza?
Very basic but very clean hotel in a great position - our balcony overlooked sunset strip
Unique Quality: The balcony that we had was worth every penny as you could sit out on it till late listening to the music from the bar below and you could see all the beach entertainment like fire jugglers and strange transvestite parades !
The only problem was there are only 5 rooms with balconies like this so you have to be very lucky to get one !!! Our friends got a room around the side of the hotel and the view wasn't half as good!

Your own Sunset Terrace at San Antonio
Thsi Hotel & Apartments called Catalina - Cafe del Mar are site over Savanah Sunset Cafe in San Antonio.
Great situation, our terrace was just over Savanha and we felt we had our own place there watching all from a privilaged place. A great experience.
i think the hotel is also very much visited by teenagers looking for partying but as it was the begining of the season still was quiet.
We got an incredible cheap offer through a spanish web site www.logitravel.com just waiting last minute decision, a double room apartment for 25 euros the night, yes you have heard well!
there is no doubt we will be there again :-)))

Great, Cheap Hotel
Just arrived back from a week's stay in Ibiza (my first time!) and must admit after reading a few reviews on the net before leaving I was a little worried at what the hotel might be like.
No need to worry though! We arrived at the hotel about 3am and although we had to wait 5mins or so for someone to arrive, they did have our booking and took us to our room straight away.
There were 4 of us sharing a room but we had 3 actual beds and 1 pull out bed which was fine. Decent sized balcony (ours was one of the smaller ones but was still pretty large!) and we had had a huge bathroom which was really nice & clean.
Although there is no pool at the Catalina studios there is absolutely no need for one as there are a strip of hotels & beach clubs right on the doorstep which we used to free, some even had pre-parties for the big clubs in the day time with Pete Tong, Judge Jules all djing by the pool for free!
The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect - the hotel is directly above Cafe Del Mar & Cafe Mambo, and the beach it backs on to is the one where people flock to watch the sunset.. our balcony was facing the sea so had many a night watching the sunset was amazing!
Overall - Catalina studios are in a perfect location, fairly clean, decent sized and a good base for San Antonio. Roughly 20mins from the airport & 5mins walk to the main strip

Excellent LocatioN!
Had a few problems when we arrived but wasn't the hotels fault, some ppl had smashed the windows in 2 rooms so we didnt have enough rooms! It was sorted the next day tho...
Apart from that the hotel's location is excellent right next to Cafe Del Mar and Mambo, a 5 minute walk from the West End and San Antonio's centre! Air conditioning is good and the rooms are nice! No pool but the sea is next door!

1* Hotel...If that
I'll put it briefly, so i dont bore you too much... Arrived at hotel... took 20minutes getting a key, very rude polish receptionist, room was passable for clean,at first.. balcony door didnt lock (apparently most dont)... during course of stay jumper, coat , hat , phone, money and aftershave!!! was stolen...... by the maids, MONEY, PHONE AND AFTERSHAVE WAS IN SAFE..maids have skeleton key, whats the point in a safe then!... police didnt want to get involved,
walls are paper thin and you can hear everything , including the people on top floor.. we were on 1st... maids banging doors at 10 am!... seeing as we were getting in at 7am ,this was not ideal..
Rain flooded ALL balcony's as they didnt have drain holes. You have small hob and NO kitchen utensils. Fridge door was broken... contents didnt stay cold. no cups, knives, forks etc supplied.
Bed sheets NOT changed all week.
2minutes after leaving room maids were in there smoking on the bed, laughing.NO ROOMS HAVE SEA VIEW.
GOOD POINTS - location is ok.
All in all.. all we wanted from the hotel (being a young group of people aged 22-25) was clean sheets and secure safe and maybe a cold fridge for the beer and we didnt even get that, STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK.. i did warn ya. thank you
Unique Quality: VIEWS - terrible
MAIDS - rude, thiefs , scummy women.
VALUE FOR MONEY - couldnt pay me to stay there again.
LOCATION - actually not that bad..

Disgusting room, great view
Firstly I would like to say do not stay at this hotel unless you have booked and paid for in advance one of the 5 rooms at the front of the hotel with large balconies. It simply isn't worth it otherwise. We had one of these rooms and the balcony was huge (bigger than the room) but the room itself was absolutely disgusting. The first thing that hit us was a rotten gassy smell that seemed to be emanating from holes in the wall. Hotel staff were obviously aware of this as towels had been stuffed in the holes to try and block out the smell. The aircon didn't work and reception told us the engineers would be coming but they didn't in the whole time we were there (9 days). There were no cups or glasses to drink from so we had to buy plastic ones. There were a couple of knives but no forks and the plates in the cupboard were filthy and covered in food so we bought plastic ones of those too. The cover to the freezer in the fridge was missing so our ice cubes and ice creams melted. The maids came most days and will change your towels provided you leave them on the bathroom floor. They changed our sheets on our 2nd day but then strangely not again for the 9-day duration. The walls in the room had damp and the paint was peeling. We had 2 chairs but no table on the balcony and reception said they would find one for us but they didn't so we took the wooden table from inside and put it out there. We hired a safe to keep our belongings in which cost 3 euros per day plus a 10 euro deposit which they gave back to us at the end of our stay. We didn't have any problems with our shower or hot water.
When we arrived there was a couple in reception who told us that although they had booked for that night they were not able to check in until 12.00pm the next day. After reading reviews about the Catalina I had been concerned about this happening to us so I made sure the company I booked through (Flightline) told the hotel we would be arriving early in the morning and to make sure our room was ready and I would recommend others did the same.
Most of the people staying at the Catalina were totally uncivilised and rude. Expect lots of swearing, arguing, kicking of doors and general rudeness and lack of respect for anyone around them. We found the staff to be very polite and I suspect that if you are rude to them (which a lot of people were) they will be rude back; and rightly so. If you behave like scum you will be treated like scum!
To sum it up our room and the hotel was disgusting and it's only saving grace was the balcony and fab view. I wouldn't stay again and will stress again that it really isn't at all worth booking this hotel unless you have a large balcony at the front.
