driving in Ibiza and the best beaches

by delnero80

From what I have read and been told I need to rent a car in Ibiza. How are the driving conditions there? When I go it will be with a large group of people, so we would rent two 7 person cars; will they be easy to manuever around the island? Also, if I am going to rent cars to go to the beaches I would rather stay closer to nightlife so we can walk, on what part of the island should i stay. lastly, what are your favorite beaches? I would love to go to the ones with white sand and crystal blue water.

Thanks!

nearly all the beaches are white sand and crystal blue waters so it really boils down to personal preferences. I would recommend Playa Den Bossa it is almost perfect for what you describe you require

Hi, driving in Ibiza is very good. Almost all the roads are very well maintained and it is very well sighn posted. I went all over the Island and had a great time. DO NOT STAY in San Antonio unless you like to go to a place that's like Blackpool. I found Ibiza old town was very interesting as you can spend hours people watching, as there are a large amount of very flamboyant gay men there. These guys go all out dressing up as transvesites. As for beaches, just drive to a different one each day.

Have Fun!!

Travel Tips for Ibiza

Gay Area

by DPando

This beautifull scenary is full of ancient buildings alley streets composing a real maze and at the same time it make enjoy a lot ..By day you dont notice what it is few hours later ... its day and night its absolutelly different
By day is all close and by night is bloody crowded by people mostly gay with a lot of bars and terraces where take some drinks....

Cala Xarraca

by DPando

there some islands offshore which let you climb it and rest for a while ...in fact there is more under water just in front of this one ( that you can see in the pic) and its possibe to walk over the water

Space, The Best Club In The World

by badgirljessica about Space

The Space terrace is my spiritual home.

Space is the best club in the world. We Love Sundays @ Space are the most popular and legendary parties. You can dance on the terrace in the sun to Balearic beats all day long, screaming as planes fly overhead bringing more people to the island, munted out of your mind, and feeling the thick vibes. Or you can dance inside to darker beats, lost in your own vibe. You can dance to edgey beats in the smaller more intimate upstairs room. You can even sit in tubes or on foam furniture soaking up the sun on the top level chill out terrace. You can buy merchandise in the gift shop, and you can even get a massage or have a seat at the flavored oxygen bar in the lobby.

There are 22 hours of dancing possible. Sunday resident DJ Steve Lawler will blow your mind along with others such as Jose de Divina, Sin Plomo, Jonathan Ulysses, Reche, Voodoo & Serrano, and whatever other headliners are on the bill that day.

Tickets are usually ~40-50 euros and include one drink. Cameras are not allowed and you can check them at the door for 2 euros. Vodka lemons are ~12 euros, beers are ~10 euros, and water is 8 euros.

San Antonio Nightlife 5 (sunsets)

by Carmela71 about Savannah's (Sunset Bar)

This was our last stop and my favorite one. The decoration was really nice and the terraces much bigger.

The atmosphere is unique, and here you can get ideas for the summer fashion LOL

Did I mention the ridiculous prices for drinks? When you go there, do not expect to pay less than 8 Euros per drink ? just crazy.

Sunset heaven

by CarolynShort about Coastline Cafe

Fairly new restaurant/bar on San Antonio's 'Sunset Strip' a few hundred yards north along the coast from the more established Cafe Del Mar, and Cafe Mambo.

Obviously excellent for sunset watching, but fun for chilling in the daytime with paddling pools, wine bars, sun loungers etc Only ever eaten the paella (Summer 2001) .... booked a table there this year, but failed to get a taxi there in time! ;-(
