Don't Imitate Us
by solopes
Ibiza is really beautiful and must be an excellent place for vacations. We just passed there in our way to Mallorca, and what we saw made us decide that the second trip to the Balearic Islands would be to Ibiza. Wrong! My second time in the islands was again in Mallorca, so I correct the decision: My third time in the Islands will be in Ibiza.
Websites and Newsletters

Websites and Newsletters
Two excellent websites, that I can recommend are www.ibiza-online.com and www.ibiza-spotlight.com both give information on nightlife, restaurants, bars, clubs, accomodation, ecology, politics and beaches. Both sites do a great weekly newsletter giving all the latest news from the Island. I've found them indispensible over the last few years for keeping in touch with whats happening, including through the Winter months. They are in a choice of Spanish, English, German and Catalan languages.
A Baleric tradition.
by Steve-H about Cafe del Mar (Sunset Bar)
The Sunset bar at Cafe Del Mar is something of a tradition now, in recent years more people have been going over the road to the Cafe Mambo but you just cant beat a few drinks a meal and good company at the Cafe Del Mar when watching the famous Ibizan sunset. For the older crowd (30s ) it remains the perfect start to a night out.
Day Club 2
by jaycee1401 about Bora Bora Beach Disco
Well I went to Bora Bora for the first time in 2004, got to say it was what I expected. Italians / Spanish ruled but the occasional british clubber was seen. Girls with only bikini bottoms on, free entrance, expensive beer, good tunes, airplanes flying over head now and again, people clapping when they did.
That kind of somes it up really. It good if you wanna get out of Space for an hour or so, or even go before hand. There isnt one, just dont come in with a wooly jumper.
Ferries to Formentera
by marcthewriter
There are a few services that run from Ibiza to Formentera, and these varie in price and frequencie. One of the best and cheapest ways is to catch the Glass Bottom Boat that runs from Platja d'en Bossa and calls at Figueretes before making its journey to Formentera. The boat only runs once a day (at around 10am) with a return journey leaving Formentera at 6pm promptly, but it costs around half the price of the ferries from the port in Ibiza Town.
The boat takes slightly longer to reach the island but has the added benifit of having a glass bottom, ideal for the kids!
