My friend and i are going to Ibiza end of August/beginning of September. We want to do a bit of clubbing but also some relaxation and take in part of the island. Would it be recommended we book accommodation in perhaps two different areas or can we stay in one and still take in some of the island? Just got some good flights so have booked without much investigation! Any advice appreciated, thanks
Hello! I'm here in Ibiza right now on a beach about 15mins away from my hotel. Paid 17€ to get me out of the place I'm at! This is my first time in Ibiza and didn't know where to stay myself. I'm a female traveling solo-and wanted a little bit of everything. Unfort- I wasn't able to get it all in one place...especially Es Canar! Avoid staying there for sure, unless of course you are 70, 80 years old, or retired, and want to be isolated from the world! That being said do your research and ask a lot of questions! I'm not retired, or in my 70's. I'm 35 yrs old and staff at my hotel literally laughed at me when I walked into hotel. So pick cautiously!! Oh and if u do end up staying here in (es canar) rent a car, or be ready to spend a lot of € euros on cab rides. Unless of course u take the bus, which is cheaper but not always convenient! I leave tomorrow and glad-yet very upset I didn't get to experience the real "Evissa"

Ibiza is well known for its nightlife. Excellent place to visit, if this is what you are after. Sadly I didnt really see any on the interiour of the Island. We usually crawled in the bed at 6am & at the very least then slept the morning away.
This is not the type of holiday I would choose to have now. But at 18 it was Excellent!

Juaquin Vara del Rey y Rubio was born in Ibiza in 1840. he went to military school and rose through the ranks of the army serving in the Phillipines and uprisings in Spain. In 1895 he volunterred to serve in Cuba. After a battle in which his brother was killed he was promoted to general in the Spanish-American War. He refused to surrender despite the fact his troops which numbered only 500 faced an American force of 15,000. He was killed as he was being caried off the battlfield after being wounded in both legs. in 1902 King Alfonso XIII errected his monument in Ibiza
Base Bar, located on the harborfront in Ibiza Town (across from El Divino) is a great place to start a night of clubbing with a vodka lemon or to just people watch on a night off. The actual bar inside is very small but the air conditioning and the usual DJ playing house makes it a welcome place to cool off while you wait for your drinks. Outside on the couches or bar tables next to the side walk is really the place to sit though, as it is great for people watching or just looking at the yachts in the harbor. Hed Kandi, who has their pre-parties there every Saturday, also puts out the popular Base Ibiza CD series which generally has many of the hot tracks of the season on it. No dress code
Big clubs in Ibiza(Pacha, Privilege, Amnesia, Es Paradis)= Big Money. If you plan to do the island in style you'll need a serious amount of money. It's a big bonus if you get friendly with locals or bar owners here as they'll be able to get you free passes for some of the expensive stuff.
many of the smaller clubs and bars are excellent party spots aswell. starting your nights away from the main nightlife hotspots can make your money stretch a little further. the crazier the better
Another of my favorites, a smaller club accommadating only about 2000 people. The best foam parties are held here. The foam is pretty evil stuff, it burns your eyes and chokes you. It can be well over your head. I advise staying out of the foam until the canons stop spraying it, its easy to become submerged. They hold about two foam parties each week, other nights can be great also. Casual to chic.
