geography

Ibiza is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, situated in the west Mediterranean Sea. Area 220 square miles slightly smaller than the Isle of Man or twice the size of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.
The climate is mild winters and dry, sunny summers. Ibicenco, the dialect the islanders speak among themselves, is a subdivision of the eastern branch of the Catalan language. It sounds rather like Portuguese. Its roots are Latin, and its vocabulary is spiced with Arabic ingredients.
Be Comfortable
by Corinneao
Beware, as they tend to leave heavy luggage behind in Bareclona for a few hours (in other words 'lose your luggage.' Apparently the small plane can only carry so much. Put your swim suit in your carry on to hold you over- just in case. We all got ours back (yes we all lost one bag) but it took about 6 hours. Bathing suits, shorts and flip flops. Night time- people get more dressed up, but still comfy. FYI- the running water is salt water- keep a bottle in the bathroom to brush your teeth. Bring sunblock- you will need it.
go for it!!!!!!
by Amie.k about soul city
when i came to ibiza i was expecting constant house and dance music, which i didnt mind, but i do like a bit of r&b and garage. so i was chuffed when me and my friends found this club called soul city, in the westend. i think its the only place in the westend that plays r&b and garage. we ended up goin there every night. not all night, but we always ended up there. it shut at 6am so we had plenty of time to go elsewhere. It was busy every night. The only problem we had was that the men are really forward, they'll start feeling your bum if they like. But we found that every where. we even had spanish men groping us in the streets!!! so one bit of advise, don't walk around on your own! I definatly recommend soul city!!!! I met a yummy spanish boy whom i'm still in contact with and i'm going back to see him in september, you've gotta have fun!!! you could wear what you want. but because of the music, classy dressing and sexy dressing is definatly a must!!
Bucking Bronco
by freya_heaven about Bucking Bronco
One night we went on an excursion to a BBQ & Bucking Bronco in the Ibizian hills. The main food was mass's of meat, 2 of us were veggies which was not great, but to be expected at a BBQ.
Copious amounts of alcohol, games & of course the centre piece was a mechanical Bucking Bronco in a large type of bull ring. Helen became very brave & decided she was going to have a go. Obviously the drink talking, she held on for quite a decent time thought!
A very good night out
(~_~) Casual. Sombrero optional!
Ferries good...Iscomar bad
by rwaksberg
Ferries are a great way to travel between the islands, but whatever you do, do NOT use Iscomar on the Ibiza-Mallorca run unless they change the ship. The one I took was not well maintained, emitted nauseous fumes, and was an hour late in both directions!
