More about Presidente Hotel
My friend and I went to the Presidente on a last minute package, heard portanix was lovely and also read these reviews and saw it was the 2cnd highest rated in Ibiza thought We could trust the views of people who had actually stayed there, to be honest didnt know it was a "Thomson Superfamily" hotel although that was our fault as was so fed up of looking for deals just saw the price and location read the reviews and went for it! we are 2 ladies in our late 40s and just wanted a nice beach, sun and good food. let me tell you all 3 can be got at this hotel in abundance!! the food here is A+++ and i defy anyone not to find something to enjoy, so much choice and so many different meals to suit all, the evening entertainment was very good and rooms spotless, for families with young children this place is excellent ! the only downsides i could say and they are really small is the 2 beaches are small, bays really and if you want buzzing nightlife or alot to do outside hotel then this is not the place for you, althoug you can find everything you need here, e.g. chemist. numerous small "Spar shops" and gift shops with usual bits for kids!! i am almost certainly returning with my grandchildren next year, one last thing the "hill" that other reviewers have mentioned isnt that bad, although it is steep it only lasts for a few minutes and believe me if i can do it anyone can!!! p.s. Ibiza is lovely too.
Thoroughly enjoyed our week
We arrived at 10pm on Saturday 10th September and was offered out of date sandwiches with a carton of orange and piece of fruit. OK not a good start.
For breakfast we were greeted at the restaurant door by the head waiter and shown to a beautifully laid out table, and that was the same for every breakfast and evening meal. The food was lovely all the time, (although if staying any longer than one week the breakfasts might have got abit boring).
All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our group all enjoyed our stay at the Presidente. We thought that it was probably the friendliest place we had stayed. The Holiday Reps worked well to keep everyone entertained - not too overpowering though.
We didn't enjoy climbing 'Cardiac Hill' everynight though back to the hotel from the beachside pubs! Although being at the top of the hill, it gave us spectacular views over the bay by day especially if you are sat in the jacuzzi!!
The resort was everything we wanted - totally relaxing, peaceful and good weather too!
It hadn't changed since the last time we were there 16 years earlier.
Exactly as people had said previously
The hotel catering at this venue is truely outstanding ..the service is second to none ..Luckily whilst we were there it was Spannish tourism week and the staff at the hotel did everything possible to make the most of the event including a TAPAS reception with free drinks - Flowers for the ladies - champaigne recetion and nicest of all they brought in a genuine Ibizan dance troupe to entertain us prior to the most fantastic evening meal . The Thomson staff were very dedicated to their task and provided entertainment to a high standard
The resort is quiet but for the adventurous amongst us there are some absolutely fantastic local walks
My highlight of the week we spent there was swimming in the crystal clear waters of the bay and seeing all the beautiful varies species of fish Those waters are just made for snorkelling
Asta la vista - we will be back
The hotel was absolutly fantastic, great food, great entertainment, great staff, Hygienic. We had a brilliant time staying here, with good entertainment organised by our reps - Krazy Kate & Super Susie, with things ranging from Male vocalists to Drag Queens. The staff are very friendly and speak almost perfect english. Things are a bit pricy in portantx, but Giggarettes and Alchohol is cheap. Best place to go for these things is boozy buys in the square. Thanks for a brill holiday Presidente and thomson. Definetly recomend to anyone.
we stayed at the presidente hotel in october 2005 the whole place is great the food was excellent there was a lot of choice, the rooms have everything you need for your stay, the staff are very helpful and friendly, there is only a slight hill leading from the beach to the hotel, the hotel has a gym, jacuzzi, two pools, lovely views, two playgrounds, we took our two boys aged 15 and 8 and they had loads to entertain them would recommend a trip to ibiza town wich is a 30 min bus ride from the main square and cost 9 euros its brilliant well done presidente will go back and would recomnmend it to any one **********
it was fab
I went to ibiza with my husband, my 17 year old daughter and 2 of my grandchildren aged 3 and 6 we all had a fantastic time and there was loads to do for all of the family. our day would start getting up and going for a wonderful breakfast there were lots to choose from and something for eveyone. then we would soak up the sun lying around the large poolside where there is a poolside bar which comes in handy. the best thing was the entertainment through the day and at night the reps put on some great activities for everyone including supersplash the reps get everyone in the pool and even get in themselves. at night you can go for a short walk arcross the beach to vincents bar or del boys which is where my daughter spent most of her nights or watch the fantanic entertainment at the hotel. there is also a sambre bar for the teens downstairs where they can dance the night away at night time we didnt see much of my daughter because she would go off and do her own thing and dance the night away with her mates. there are lots of friendly people here all wanting the same thing to have a great holiday my daughter met loads of friends and didnt want to come home.. crazy kate, dee, suzy and also alan and many more reps made our holiday a fantasic and an unforgetable one. We will defintly come here again next year and i hope crazy kate is there to give us another superfamily t shirt a must have at this hotel. i cant wait for us all to do star trekkin and the finger song and not forgeting the rolf harris song. (Dont forget us presidente)

we stayed in portinax in june 05 at the presidente ,what a great time we had me my wife and little daughter molly, childrens entertainment was first class ,crazy kate, cheeky dee and the gang, hotel room good, food very good, can,t wait untill june to go back again ,see you down del-boys to watch england win world cup
we stayed at the presidente in may 2006, 2 adults, 1 child aged 8 and an infant aged 16 months. The hotel staff were brilliant especially the waiting staff in the restaurant, they couldnt do enough for us. The rooms were serviced every day, fresh towels were available as needed. we had a second floor room facing the sea with a fabulous view. The hotel entertainment staff and kids club reps were great. The only concern we had was the limits on the amount of kids that could go to the club at any one time, this is worth noting at busy times.
The slope down to the beach and the little town of Portinax is easily accessible no problems with a buggy, the local bars all made you feel welcome. Del Boys and Vincents bar lots to do good entertainment. The whole area is very beautiful, however it is worth thinking about hiring a car to get about. We did hire a car, for 3 days cost approx £100 including infant seat means you dont always have to rely on local busses to get about. Coming back up to the hotel from the beach the slope tends to be a bit steep especially pushing the buggy, but if you need a rest there are bars and a kids play area that you can stop off at. All in all a great time was had by us and cant wait to go back again.

Accommodation and skydiving?
I have 2 queries, the first is accommodation in Ibiza Town, we are leaving on Sunday and havnt booked yet, we are after something cheap but nice, near the harbour...
Also does anyone know if you can skydive somewhere on the island, either Ibiza or Mallorca?
This is asap as we leave on Sunday.
Re: Accommodation and skydiving?
You can check out for hotels in Ibiza at the following link which also can guide you with other interesting information.
If you are looking for something near the harbour, I sugggest you select San Antonio, which is quite a lively place with lots of activities.
AS for skydiving you have to get more information once you get there unless you are able to get something on the internet.
All the best
