the other side of the island

by sproeti

Hello everybody!
In September my boyfriend and I are going to Ibiza for 2 weeks. I'm still having doubts because I know it's a party island and I also want to see "the other side of the island", if you know what I mean?
Could anyone give me some tips about the beautiful creeks on Ibiza and the other beautiful places to see?
Party hardy is cool, but not all the time and I really hope to see someting else then disco's.
Thanks in advance and enjoy your holidays!

Yes, my friend, I know what you mean.

In my opinion the better choice is:

1). rent a car (or motorcycle)
2). take a detailed map.

Later on you can visit little beaches (called Calas, in Spanish for example: Es Pou d'es LLeó) and have a lunch in there and swim. Try to find little markets for shopping located in different towns depending on the day . And visit some Churchs.

In Ibiza City you can visit the Old City (called Dalt Murada). I like it at nigth.

A very beatiful day trip is go to Formentera and rent a bycicle, car or motorcycle. And ride on ···

Don't forget visit "Isla Vedrà", maybe by boat. Or perhaps yoy prefer to swim in a Cala In front of "Isla VEdrà".

There are a lot of options ·····

P.D.:The Main nigth-life is located on Ibiza City and San Antonio. September is quiet warm to swim.

Do not miss the castle on Ibiza town

by Carmela71

While travelling not all is party and beaches, even if the Spanish promotion campaign of the 70’s was sun and beach orientated LOL.

You should not miss to go to D’Alt Villa, the castle fortified on the top Of Ibiza Town. We did not have enough time as we only went for a few days, to visit all the area, but is waiting for our next visit… soon…

Es Vedra

The best way to see the island is by boat. We took the Captain Nemo boat from San Antonio.

Seems that the island has been inspiration for artists as Mike Oldfield and some shots for films had been filmed here as Lucia y el sexo.

Also some people had been scared about the island for many years saying there had been seen lights at night and things like that….

San Antonio Nightlife 2 (sunsets at Dr Flemming)

This is the sunset bar of the famous Manumission, we went on our second night and it was residents djýs night.

Prices have gone down a little that after a few days going out, is something to appreciate for the budget hehehehe

For a cheap night out

by LizD about Uno's Liquor Store and Bar

Uno's is a liquor store where you can drink in or take out.

You purchase your drinks just as you would in the Supermarkets, but when you go to pay they will ask you if you require glasses, and any with ice. you can then sit outside at one of the tables and spend the evening happily drinking your purchase.

The bar area is not fancy but it is certainly a cheap night out and ideal for couples with children. Average prices for two pints of St Miguel in a bar is E7.

At uno's it is E1.5 for a litre bottle.
