Absolutley wicked!

by A TripAdvisor Member

Got back from Magaluf on the 1st.. gotta say it was the best holiday of my life!! There was 8 of us all together, all girls. We found the Fiesta Sahara to be a great hotel, the rooms were clean and tidy (until we got there that is) the bathroom was a bit small, but clean. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly, and the pool was gorgeous! The food in the hotel was also quite nice. There is lots of places to eat near by like burgerking and macdonalds. The beach is literally 5 minutes away, directly down the road, and BCM is also 5 minutes away, although i preferred to go up to the strip, my favourite club was bananas! It was amazing :D
The night life is wicked, i would deffinatley reccomend Magaluf. I am goin back in September, thats how good i thought it was, hopefully i'll be staying in Fiesta Sahara too. See everyone soon :D:D

A great hotel, a great holiday!

by A TripAdvisor Member

When i first arrived at the Fiesta Sahara I didn't really think much to it, when i got to the reception the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were basic, but they had everything that we needed and were very clean indeed. The pool was fantastic, plenty of space for everyone to do as they pleased, it was also a walk in pool which was brilliant for my 2 young boys. The hotel itself was located a stones throw from the beach, which was great with the hot weather, it was also close to plenty of shops and restaurants (try the Moon Bar over the road, good value for money and very frindley staff). You can't go wrong with this hotel it was brill' and so was our holiday!

Good for young people

by TripAdvisor Member natalie19

Stayed in Fiesta Sahara in August 2005 with five other friends. The rooms are very basic but fine for young people who only use the rooms to sleep in! The pool is clean and very big! The hotel is good for young people and the staff are very relaxed about playing music, making noise etc. but I would definately NOT recommend it for families especially with young children as it can be very noisy at night. Since we are all under twenty we loved this hotel and it's location! Situated 5 minutes from the beach and the main strip it was perfect for us. The poolside cafe was perfect to grab a quick lunch and the kitchen in the apartment is well enough equiped if you want to eat in. I have read quite a few reviews of people being broken in to, we had two rooms and we were fine, but we did hire a safe and for peace of mind I would say it is worth it.

Overall we had a great holiday here and it is perfect for young people who want to live it up in Magaluf!! But not for families looking for a quiet break!

PS Dont forget the building work!

by TripAdvisor Member aja39

After reading some of the previous reviews, we arrived at the hotel and wandered what to expect. The hotel was clean and well equiped and the staff friendly and helpful. There is a great little supermarket at the hotel with prices compatable with others in the area. We had a problem with one of the beds but a visit to reception and the problem was solved. Out of season you expect some building work and maintenance. The main pool over which most of the balconies look was being relined. Not a problem the hotel has an indoor pool and they opened the outdoor pool at the sister hotel across the road. But what Thomson failed to tell us was that the building work was continuing throughout our stay so we could not use our balcony due to the dust and the noise from the drilling, this lasted the whole week except for Sunday. The hotel may have only told Thomson at short notice but that was two weeks before we arrived. The Rep Matt didnt seem bothered, he just brushed the matter a side and said that Thomson had had a meeting with the hotel but he did not know the outcome. That was on the Monday and by the Saturday the building work was continuing and not even an apology from Thomson. As a major Tour Operator I would certainly think twice about travelling with them again, which is a shame because the Fiesta Sahara were some of the best apartments that we had been too and close to everything.

Nice hotel, shame about the thefts!

We stayed at the Fiesta Sahara from 3rd June and had a fab time! The rooms were clean and spacious with a large balcony overlooking the pool. After booking the holiday I then read afew reviews about robberies at the Sahara but these reviews were written last year so I thought the problem would be sorted by now. Though our room was not infact robbed, we had several robberies around us on the top floor. The boys next door to us came home from their second night out to find many of their possesions gone. The staff were not very helpful when they reported it and it left the rest of us worried that the same thing might happen to us. Later on in the week we heard of at least another two robberies, one of which was on our floor again. This time money had been taken out of the locked safe! We suspected it was the cleaners as on our second last morning (or afternoon by the time we got up), a cleaner walked in without knocking, saw us lying in our beds in the lounge and walked out again slamming the door.... very suspicious!
Robberies aside, the reps at the hotel were fun and friendly, the food at the bar was fantastic, and the pool was huge! The only other thing I sholud warn you about is the security guards - on our second night out we came back to our hotel after BCM and they said we were making too much noise and were threatening to chuck us out! The boys next door were on their final warning after their 3rd day and they were staying for 2weeks!!
I'd definitely recommend the freestyle package which includes Skooldayz disco, BCM planet dance, Popcorn party, BCM foam party, strippers party, waterpark, and a week of free entry to clubs in Palma Nova. BCM was amazing... just watch how much you drink as with free flowing drink you will soon be lying on the floor in your own puke which is not nice for everyone else!! we went in at 2am one night and there were so many people lying around and bent over being sick! BCM have the biggest foam machine in the world and the Foam party was one of the greatest nights! Just be careful that the guys get a bit randy in the foam, keep a hold of your shoes or you wont see them again, and dont stand underneath the foam machine because the foam makes you physically sick if you swallow it.... or so I heard! The Pirates uncut were amazing - you wonder how some of the moves they do are actually possible without strings holding them up!... oh and free sangria, wine and beer when you get in!!
All in all it was a fab holiday... just a pity that we had the constant worry about getting robbed. they need to sort this out before I go back to the Sahara!!
Good places to eat are the Lady Tavern and Tom Browns. Look out for the fab cocktail bar by the beach - Daquiri Palace.

Brill Holiday!!!!!

by A TripAdvisor Member

When my friend and I first arrived at this hotel, as we walked off of the coach we didn't think much off it. As we got into our rooms we found that they were basic but very clean and very comfortable. As we were self catering it had everything we needed. We was a little worried as the door to our room looked and felt really unsecure. We thought it would be best to hire a safety deposit box. But in all we had no problem. (but still do not leave valuable things laying around the apartment)
The pool was brilliant. It was even better as it was a walk in pool, it never got to crowded.
The location of which the hotel is situated is brill. Not actually on the beach but only a 5 minute walk away.
Noise wasn't a problem for us. Maybe it was because we went near the end of the season. There were a few nights were you can hear people up all hours but it doesn't really bother you as you can just shut most of it out by closing the balcony doors.
We had a brilliant week holiday and we would definatley recommend famillies and young people to come here.
We would definatley revisit this hotel again (probably not in the high season, as our ceailing fan was not much use) but all in all we had no problems or compalints and we had a fab holiday!!!!!!
