More about Pollensa Park
Pollensa Park Review
Stayed at the Pollensa Park May 2007. Overall a good week. Day and evening entertainment was ok. Pool was good. Food was acceptable with a good choice each morning and evening. All guests were British which was good as all the staff spoke good english.
If booking try and get a pool view room as the other rooms overlook the bars opposite the hotel which can be noisy until late.
Hotel was a 15 minute or so walk into town and a few minutes from the beach.
Hotel is kept very clean but in some areas could do with a bit of modernisation. Prices for food and drink compared favourably with local bars and shops.
excellent days out
We always go to Puerto Pollensa and stay at the pollensa Park hotel. It is a beautiful resort.
This time we found something special: The hotel reception have started selling excursions from a company called No Frilss Excursions. We booked a few, including Caves of Drach, Island Tour and Palma. We have been to all these places before but we have never had such excellent service. For example, on the island tour we had free time in Calobra and Porto Soller and we had a boat just for our coach trip (with the tour operator we've only ever had free time at one of these places and the boat has always been over crowded with people from lots of tours - not the case this time). On the Caves trip we were taken to see some stunning view points just as an extra to take some photos. They helped to make the day very interesting. On the Palma trip, we had more free time than we've ever had in Palma and we joined the free optional guided walk around the old town which was delightful. All these little touches helped to make our holiday and we paid less for the trips than we have ever paid for the same.
A nice hotel, but !
We have just returned from a week at the Pollensa Park Hotel. The hotel itself was nice. It was clean and most of the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The only meal we were not happy with was the breakfast on the day of departure. As we were leaving at 7am, we were told we would have a cold buffet, which turned out to be a croissant and marmalade!
During our week there, the majority of the guests were elderly and quite a few had special needs which were catered for very well. There were ramps everywhere and wheelchairs for use and all the staff were willing to help when needed.
Our main complaint about the holiday was the fact that our rooms overlooked the road, which in itself was okay, but there was a bar and a restaurant which felt the need to compete with each other every night to play the loudest music. This meant that we had quite a few sleepless nights as it went on until past midnight.
The entertainment in the hotel did not start until 10pm so, due to the lack of sleep, we tended not to stay up for it.
Whilst at the hotel, one of our party became ill and we had to call a doctor. The service we received was excellent and she made a speedy recovery with the doctor coming to check on her on another day.
Overall, the holiday was good but as the hotel tended to cater for the older guest, we felt it was not for us.
Best Entertainment ever!
Hotel was nice, we had a balcony view on the 8th floor overlooking the sea and pool.
Was disapointed with the head of reception as she was rude to us and not at all helpful.
The bar staff seemed to be intimadated by the bald bar manager (Tolo?!) as he shouted a lot.
Cleaners very good, very attentive.
Food was ok, needed more variety and less chips as my children need a balanced diet. We came on holiday for more spanish food!
Entertainment was fantastic, couldn't fault it. I have a young daughter who loved the mini club and the entertainer who ran it, and a teenage daughter who joined in adult activities and seemed to take to the head entertainer, i saw them laughing and joking together a lot. The shows at night were brilliant, it was so nice to be able to sit outside around the pool and watch them - especially liked the rock show, it's nice to see in some places you can find genuine live shows with proper music.
Beach was nice and close, very clean and well maintained.
We will definately be coming back next year and would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.
Excellent Value Hotel
Superb location only 200m to a safe sandy beach and in a lovely part of Puerto Pollesa. Staff are all most pleasant , reception, bars, restaurant and maid service all friendly people who do their jobs well and with a smile. Food is all fine with good amount of choice. The fish dishes were particularly attractive this year. We have stayed in this hotel a good number of times and it seems to us to be improving to the extent that the tour companies who rate it 3 star are not too generous. The rooms are comfortable and well cleaned and the pool area and grounds around are both well maintained and attractive to the extent that we have met a lot less acceptable conditions in hotels rated 4 star . This hotel is a well priced place deserving to continue to get the patronage of UK people wanting a holiday in a peaceful and beautiful part of Mallorca.
A Great Hotel
My wife and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Pollenca Park Hotel, and a nice week it was too. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were clean, towels changed daily and the pool and surrounding areas were clean and well kept.
The food was very very good considering the two or three star rating, some of the meat dishes were as good as I've tasted anywhere and plenty of it.
Pollenca itself is a lovely resort, quiet if you want it to be, noisy if that’s what you want. The prom is a lovely walk, and the beaches look great, although we did not try them.
We hired a car for the week, our rep arranged it for us (she was a Thomas Cook rep, and one of the best we have had on our travels) so we toured the island.
It was my first experience to Majorca, and maybe not my last. I would seriously consider going back to the Pollenca Park again despite some of the negative reports some people have written about it.
A holiday is what YOU make of it.
We liked it !!!
We liked it! Due to our wide ranging ages (70plus down to 10 years old) we sometimes struggle to find accomodation that suits us all but we were all happy with this one.
Staff are lovely , food adequate and plentiful , bar prices extremely reasonable and the professional entertainment n the evening was of a higher standard than we had seen elsewhere in Mediterranean resorts.
We had rooms on the road side which I was initially concerned about , having read comments on this website . Yes it was a bit noisy but I can honestly say that it wasnt that intrusive! But how could you fail to mention the view from this side of the hotel - stunning!!! Tramuntana mountains to the left - the bay of pollensa to the right!!
OK -this is not 'paradise' but we had a really good family holiday ,had lots of food and wine and made some good friends. That will do me!!
We have just returned from a great week at the pollenca park. The room was brilliant - we had asked for a view of the poll and a high floor and blimey did we get that, the room was a family roomat the end of the hotel facing the sea, 2 walls were glass, in one direction looking to Formentor the sea and the town , the other looked to over thpool area and over to Alcudia. The balcony was L shaped and huge again giving great views The roomwas 522, so I would try to get a numbed ending with a 22
Food was excellent, buffet breakfast and buffet dinner, you could eat as much as you liked, you could not have wanted for anything
I think the hotel is a thomas cook hotel and visitors are near enough 100% from the UK, either elderly, middle aged or young familys.
Entertainment wasnt too bad, and there semed to be alot of kids activitys, mind you I coulnt hear the tannoy announcements!
Nice large pool, could swim lengths without being doisturbed if you timed it right, thought it was a bit cold at the strt of the week.
Staaf were friendly and could all speak good english
Only 2 points of concern, dont think there were enough sunbeds at the pool and garden area, didnt worry me as we used the beach as well
I noticed there were a few ground floor rooms which faced on to the street, avoid as they were in a naff position
Exploed the surrounding area on foot and with chesap public transport, also hired a bike and went up to Formentor - magic
Overall a pretty good holiday, didnt see one "larger lout "the whole time I was away, cant ask for mor than that!
An hour transfer time from Palma airport (but the whole journey is along the line of the mountain range that goes across the island) Stunning!
The hotel is only a 15 minute walk from the resort centre. Set back off the main road in a peaceful area. I cannot fault this hotel. Everything you want, from the clean rooms, to the great food.
They say that they want the guys to wear trousers for dinner (but really it's shorts that they don't allow, 3/4 length tousers you can get away with).
There's a bus stop at the bottom of the road leading upto the hotel. 1.10 euro to Alcudia Old town (stunning medieval walled town), and the same price to Pollensa (the 365 step walk to the church at the top has to be done for the stunning views).
The beach & sea are fantastic.
The resort has a nice chilled vibe about it. We'll definately be going back to this resort & hotel soon. Oh, you must do the Pine Walk on the north side of the resort. About a 1mile and 1/2 of a pine tree laden walk. Beautiful
This is a very efficiently operated hotel which is good value for money. All areas are spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly. In the restaurant, it can sometimes get very busy but the "team" manages the crowds well! The variety of evening entertainment is also impressive. The food is good, especially the starters and desserts, but we found the main courses were rather bland and sometimes overdone. However, we would still go back to this hotel again.

My wife and I are going to Pollensa for 2 weeks on 16th July with a party of 7 other family members rangeing from 4yr old twins to 70 yr olds. It is our first visit to Mallorca. Could anyone give information on the hotel particularly anyone who has stared there around the same time of year. We are led to believe that it is relatively laid back which would suit us. Any help please.
