    We stayed for 3 nights at the end of September, 2004 and had a good time. Rooms are fairly basic but good value for money. They are of a good size and very clean. Pool is good and the sun terrace has a nice view of the cathedral and the harbour. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms with a sea view on a high floor are best. ( 806 or 811 ) There is some noise from the main road between the hotel and the harbour but this can be blocked out by shutting the patio doors. All rooms have air-con. Bus number 1 from the airport runs right past the door so don't bother with a taxi as the fare is really cheap.

    Views from our balcony were fab and we loved to sit and relax for an hour or two in the late afternoon while reading, drinking and watching the activity in the harbour below. Buffet breakfast was good but busy so best to get down earlyish. Bar prices in the hotel were surprisingly cheap with friendly service. We got into the habit of dropping into the hotel bar for coffee & Cointreau's after a night out. If you like indian food don't miss the Baisakhi next-door to the hotel. It has a set menu with unlimited red wine for Euro 28.00. The food was superb.
    We will be back.

    In Portal Nous we stayed at the Ola club Tomir.It was very good,excellent food,entertaiment every night and a big swimming pool.

    Its close to the yacht harbour and beach.Marineland is nearby.A bus stop is in front of the hotel.Portal nous is also very close to palma and just two kilometers away from lively Palma Nova

    Pleasant hotel in a good location overlooking Palma's busy marina/harbour and with views of the Cathedral in the distance. The hotel has a nice bar, and swimming pool. Many of the rooms have balconies looking straight out onto the harbour, but some don't so be warned, as it would be a bit of a choker not to be facing seawards.
    The breakfast was nice, plenty of choice and never too busy.
    Our room was clean and tidy and the service we received was excellent.
    Mixture of old and young guests and everyone seemed to get along well.

    Bus stop to and from the airport is just outside the hotel.
    The hotel is about a 10 minute stroll from the centre of Palma.
    Plenty of restaurants within a few minutes stroll and boat trips depart just across the road.

    Hotel Samos is a 3 stars hotel, has a swimming pool, a saloon and a coffee bar and each bedroom has a bathroom, TV and phone.
    It is located nearby the BCM discotheque and in an area of cafes/bars and the beach is very near from there.

    When we were choosing the hotel to this trip I said to Ana "lets choose an isolated hotel in order to rest more", because I'm tired to see those hotels that we have to cross the street to go to the beach.
    This hotel is located approximately 8km from the Port of Alcudia and have direct access to the beach and it was the exactly place to rest.

    The hotel is situated on Paseo Maritimo, which is the main road running along the long harbourfront of Palma. The rooms are clean and spacious and ours had a balcony overlooking the harbour.

    There is a decent sized bar with friendly barstaff and the restaurant serves a good buffet-style breakfast, which was included in our room rate.

    The Cathedral and Old Town are about 20 minutes walk along the harbour and there are lots of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

    We booked our room independently, but there were a lot of notices around the hotel reception for various tour operators, so I would imagine that it gets quite full of package tourists during the summer months. When we were there in mid-October 2003, the main season had finished and it was fairly quiet.

    Good location with great views of the harbour.

    The hotel is near the beach so you can see the sea from there. You can go to the beach walking because it is 5 minutes from the hotel!

    The hotel Samos is placed in a great bar/cafes area so the location is great for the ones who want to have fun.
    The hotel staff was very kind, they were allays trying to speak in Portuguese with me :-)

    I had stayed here for a summer back in 1987. This time for only one night just to conjur up old memories. The hotel had been closed for 5 years for remodeling. The rooms are brighter and they look over the best view in the world.

    They have a gym but I did not use. Normally that is important to me.

    The staff was very friendly and young. They loved that I wanted to come back and conjur up a time of my life that was special in 87. They asked me about it through out my stay.

    This hotel has a view that will take your breath away. Out on the deck where I had my morning coffee con leche, I would look to the left and see the King and Queen's summer home. On the right looking down to the rugged cliffs, there was a wall that water lapped on. It took me away. Looking out to the center was the beautiful horizon of water and sky. One could get lost with their thoughts looking out that view. If the King and Queen of Spain pick this veiw for their summer home, you know it is a good one.

    The deck has plenty of chairs to sit in and threre is muliti floors of the deck. They have their own private beach area.
