Hey, we're on the train to Soller!

Have just booked up for a holiday to Alcudia. We were last in Mallorca last year and while in Palma found a lovely Italian icecream parlour. The icecream was amazing! Trying to remember what it was called. It wasn't the iceberg place as I have google mapped that. It was quite central. Does anyone know?

The italian place is right next to Iceberg near the Cathedral.
I think Iceberg also has fabulous ice cream! -

Bello como las mismas islas Baleares... La Granja y el restaurante Son Amar con el magnifico espectaculo y una cena esplendida. La Cartuja en Valdemosa, un monasterio donde hospedian la escritora y el compositor (George Sande y Fedrico Chopin)
Soft bags always come off the conveyors at Palma airport first!! make sure you have a handle and wheels, the airport is large.
When in town, something small as you will be walking most places. Depends on the season, in summer pack light and bring plenty of sun cream, shades and after sun. In addition there are lots of mosquitos, so repelant is good.
In winter a jumper and a light jacket just in case it rains, but nothing too heavy its not like Northern Europe, never really cold. All necessary sun creams and repelants. You can buy them n the larger resorts and in palma if you forget. You shouldn't have any difficulties with most equipment.

- Manacor: 50 kms.
- Alcudia beach: 57 kms.
- Drach Caves: 68 kms.
- Artá Caves: 78 kms.
Checking the website, you’ll find more road distances together with the driving times and the best routes (don't forget that Mallorca is an island).
Is a small town nestled between enormous montain in heart of the island.The village is very isolated in a spectacular setting.A 1912 wooden train links Palma to Soller rathing through citrus orchards and 13 tunnels
They swim in this little pond next to the cathedral. Or at least they used to. Maybe they're not around anymore. Though someone recently mentioned that they can still be found here. So i guess the decendants of the couple that are swimming in the picture are still alive. On the other hand, i have no idea how old swans become. They could be the same ..
