Best entertainment ever!

Me and my husband have just got back from a long weekend to the hotel honolulu. I was a bit dubious as usually we stay in 4/5 star but seeing as it was such a short stay and all inclusive we thought we would give it a go! As people have said on the review the hotel could do with refurbishing BUT, if you want a hotel with AMAZING food, GREAT entertainment (thanks Vinny) and free drink all day and all night, then this is the place for you. Your are 2 mins from the strip and 5 mins from one of the most beautiful beaches i have seen. The pool is a bit ropey and you have to get a sunbed early but 10am there are still some left so its not as bad as some places. We thoroghly enjoyed it and would definatly go back, i even cried on the way home!!!
Very disappointing

I am just back from the Honolulu Hotel and I would not recommend it to families. If your young and want a wild holiday then it is the place to go. We were very disappointed with it as my husband, myself and my two children aged 2 and 6 believed it was a family orientated hotel. Two stag parties which consisted of very large groups were staying in the hotel and the noise was overbearing. If you went down to the pool at 7 a.m. you would be lucky to get a bed. We spent most of the time at the beach because there were no available beds at the pool. The food was plentiful but was very basic. I hated the small plastic cups that the drink was served in (alcohol and soft drinks). The bar staff were quite friendly but the restaurant staff weren't exept one girl that took an instant attraction to my two year old. The rooms were quite small but were cleaned regularly. We made the most of the holiday but I certainly wouldn't go back.
family unfriendly

went to the honolulu in june, first there were 30 steps to carry 2 pushchairs up, then the noise of the clubs and the sling shot were so loud we couldnt sleep, the hotel was full of yousters out for a good time no respect for families, not much choice of food the same menu all the time, this hotel is definately not for families. families were paying £300 to go home early no one could take the lack of sleep.
Honolulu - Would be rude not too!!

We stayed in the Honolulu in June-July o4 and it was spot on!! Although the food got a bit boring after a while - it was pretty much the same thing each day! The beer is plentiful and everybody is friendly. As for the noise - close your doors and you can't hear it!!! I was one of those out until all hours with my friends but had a few nights in and had no problems with the noise from the bars etc or the slingshot! The only noise was the kids round the pool at 7am!! Grrr!!
Would recommend going but not too expect too much - Just enjoy it for what it is - a place to stay in between pubbing and clubbing!!!! Also recommend Pirates adventure to anyone that goes there - absolutely brilliant fun!!!
Very good

I thought the Hotel was brilliant, stayed for 2 weeks at the end of July. The food was ok, everyday a lot of the stuff was the same but they do have a few themed nights like Mexican where the food was nice. Entertainers were very good, always something to do in the day and night. Pool area was good and would definately go back again. The steps up to the Hotel were a nightmare but that is probably only the bad thing about this place.
Majorca, Palma Nova

"Majorca, Palma Nova"
Our visit to the lovely Palma Nova in Majorca 1999.
We stayed at Hotel Honolulu, All Inclusive.
"Palma Nova"
We visited Palma Nova in January of 1999, probably a bad time to visit but nevertheless we enjoyed it.
Palma Nova is a typical Spanish resort, which is popular with the older generation in the earlier months of the year, however there is a good mixture of younger families too.
Palma Nova has a lovely beach and is facing a little Island were, if you are lucky, you will see dolphins playing.
The resort has ample ammenities - restaraunts, gift shops, shoe and clothes shops and duty free perfume stores (which particularly appeal to me).
The beaches are clean and the sea is clear.
There is something for everyone young and old, although I beleive it becomes very busy in the Summer Season, which is cool if you want a real lively time.
"Palma Nova"
The Hotel Honolulu, which we stayed at, was up a steep hill, you need to enjoy and have the ability to have a few good walks, but there are plenty of places to stop and sit down on the way.
It was all inclusive and had very good entertainment at night, which included flamenco dancing, caberet, residents drama (in which some of the holiday makers starred) and of course the disco.
Most hotels at that time of the year (January, February,March) are very reasonable and it makes a really nice break from the wintry weather back home.
It was nice to have a beach almost to ourselves for once.
If you visit Palma Nova a brilliant and very friendly place to eat, drink and relax during the day is Miguel and Cheryl's, Cheryl did a 'Shirley Valentine'.
"Magaluf, nr Palma Nova"
This resort is very similar to Palma Nova and it's beach is equally as nice.
This area offers a glass bottom boat excursion which goes out to the little island opposite, so yes I guess if you were extremely fortunate you would get to see the playful dolphins, beautiful creatures and very intelligent.
I really enjoyed it here and may try the other side of the island sometime in the future.
