In Mallorca, anything goes. You will see old men at cafes drinking beer at ten in the morning, and young people going home from clubbing at four. There is supposedly a drinking age, but no one seems to abide by it. They are, for the most part, very nice to foreigners, and many of the people living in Mallorca are British or German expatriats. Tipping is not necessary or expected in restaurants, but in taxis is okay. If you don't speak Spanish, remember a smile goes a long way.

In each bus stop U'll find a schedule of the particular bus that stop there. In places where more than 3 buses stop U will find in the rear of the bus stop a map of all the itineraries. They are each one with a particular color so is easy to follow the map. Also the instructions are in spanish, english, german and french.

churches and cathedrals

In case you forget that Mallorca is in Spain, you can always visit the little churches and cathedrals to refresh your memory. The older buildings in the interior can be quite beautiful, although in the capital there are plenty of architectural horror stories. we stopped by felanitx to pick up groceries and chill at a sunday market.
Wonderful views - Cap de Formentor
by pugwashman
The Cap de Formentor is at the north of the island, a few miles from Port de Pollenca.
If you don't fancy taking the winding roads to the lighthouse at the end of the peninsular, you can get excellent views from the Mirador de Colomers, which has a well worn track out to a large viewing area.
