Hotel Tres

This hotel is located in the old part of town. Not exactly the safest place. But, it was December when I stayed there for 6 nights. I did not feel I would get "mugged". Afterall, who would be standing in the cold 35F weather waiting for me (and my wallet) in a narrow dark alley? That said, it is actually quite safe - you need a card key to get into any where within the compound. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room is well appointed. It has a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Very secluded. I can sum it up in a sentence -- it is almost like walking into a Bang & Olufsen showroom minus the bed. Overall, I would recommend trying this hotel out ASAP before some big hotel chain such as Hilton or Marriott purchase it .

Unique Quality: Very cool, post-modern, chic..... Good breakfast buffet..... Centrally located, close to the waterfront, the cathedral and a lot of nice restaurants. Would not dream of staying anywhere else.
