Hotel Jardin De Playa, Santa Ponsa
Greetings All,
I'm trying to book an apartment in this hotel, for the period 24-27th Dec '05. Does anybody have any positive or negative comments about this particular hotel ?
Also, how is the area 'Santa Ponsa' in terms of accessibility by public transport ?

Santa Ponsa is about i would say 20 to 30 km from Palma ( a rough estimate). It is ok in terms of nightlife and all that though not basically a nightlife resort as Magaluff and El Arenal are. It used to be frequented mostly by dutch and irish but that might have changed by know. There are regular buses to and from Palma de Mallorca. Taxis aren't very expensive but it'll cost you quite a bit over this distance if you decide to go out in Palma. In that case it is better to stay out all night and take an early bus back.
From the airport you take the bus to palma where you can take the bus to Santa Ponsa.

About the weather, it can be rainy and cloudy. Around 14 c i would say. But it can be a very nice and beautiful sunny day as well. I have had both around that time of year. It rarely gets below 10 c. But best dress in layers so you'll be prepared for everything. Anyway, it'll be a lot warmer then where i am now. Though at the moment the snow has dissapeared and i don't have to hack the ice from the front window of the bus as i've been doing the last couple of days...
Anyway, there is a lot to see and do in Mallorca. read up on some of the VT-pages of people here, so you know what you can expect. And if you have any more questions, just ask.
